Searching for Something #18 - Will Crocket

I searched for something with Will Crocket, an outdoor enthusiast, future journalist, author, poet, and overall student of life. We talked about hiking in the backcountry, Bigfoot researchers, if whether or not there is such thing as a pure selfless deed, if we could kill someone in self-defense, how Walmart is a good representation of the US, journalism being an outlet of influence, dealing with criticism, copy desk editors being brutally honest, people loving the underdog story, the power of marketing, learning how to not editorialize your work, if there is such thing as unbiased news, if recycling even matters in the grand scheme of things, how it's hard to convince people to advocate for the environment, if the world was China we could minimize our contribution to climate change, Will's current fiction book he's writing, naming a story before or after writing it, a bigger vocabulary can allow you to capture more energy of life, Stephen King being a genius, cult-classic movies, Hunter S. Thompson's daily drug routine, trail names, Putin's power, anxiety, and seeking help.
