Season 1 Episode 3: Speed Writing Fiction vs The World of STEM and ADHD

from Cassie's Crafting Conundrum

*content warning: depression mention*Halle (she/her), an incoming college sophomore stem major, and I sit down for a talk about writing in a short period of time vs taking time for a manuscript to come to the writer, ADHD and how it affects us as people, stem writers writing non stem related fiction projects, how opposite Halle and I are as people and yet we get along so well as people and as writer, and so much more. This episode is a lot longer than I would have expected, however, it was a joy for me to sit down with this amazing gen z author who knows what she wants and will let nothing stand in the way of that. I wish I was like her, though different people are the spice of life and I love it.The second teacher in my story is a master's student who just graduated with her MFA from my college and she was absolutely amazing because she restored my hope that I actually could write and it was good. I just need to keep going. And so I did. And here I am, still writing and raring to go with more stories in my brain than I have time to write down. The opinions are our own.You can find Halle on Twitter @hallejwrites.Email: [email protected] for inquiries, comments, questions, and general feedback.Twitter and Instagram: @cassjackson_22 Hosted on Acast.
