Hello Fearless Fam, "Doric Wilson: "That's what happened Stonewall night to a lot of people. We went, 'Oh my God. I am not alone, there are other people that feel exactly the same way" Episode 5: "The Stonewall Uprising.." The Stonewall Uprising began in the early hours of June 28, 1969 when New York City police raided the Stonewall Inn, a gay club located in Greenwich Village, New York City. The Stonewall Uprising served as a catalyst for the gay rights movement and also resulted in what we have today, the Pride Parade. We will be discussing the history of Stonewall, the people who paved the way for change during that time in the LGBTQ community, and what that all means and looks like today and for the future. I hope you all join us, so we can all learn together and grow together.
