Guest - Kendall Ickes - http://www.drpcollision.com/ You can write down your goals and create a plan but when you get knocked down your PASSION is the reason you get back up. Tony Robbins tells us. People accomplish tasks/goals in 2 ways: 1. Push requires willpower, it never lasts.  --- OR --- 2. Pull is your why, it pulls you towards activities that aligns with your passion or vision What is your why? Why do you get you get up everyday. Life is not easy. If it was easy everyone would do it You will get tired but your why gives you the extra energy Who are you fighting for? What gets you up early. Purpose lights a fire in you. Do what is easy your life will be hard. Do what is hard your life will become easy. Clarity on what your gift can truly add value A larger vision of yourself Some questions that I used to find my why: What inspires me without any external motivator, including money? What do I love doing without a paycheck attached? What catches my attention that I can spend hours investing in? What’s something both significant in purpose and important to me personally that will last beyond my final breath? What would get me out of bed in the morning without an alarm clock? What would I invest as much time as possible in without expecting any applause or recognition? Can WHY BE MONEY? In my opinion no. If you are focusing on your NEED. So how much money you need to pay your monthly bills vs. Your WANT, or the WHY behind the money. That is where as a coach I see true progress. If you set a goal and hit it and then the reward is a trip to let’s say PARIS so you can take your wife to the Eiffel tower for your 20th anniversary. That memory, that trip, that accomplishment will PULL you to set the goals and then follow it up with action. I then want to pivot to another mindset around your why. What if you could help people using there on why? If you are in sales in any way. Retail, auto sales, in my main focus, real estate. We focus on finding the “why” behind the request. Let me expand with a technology company we have all heard of --- Apple, i PHONE Apple demonstrates the “why sales approach” at its best. They could demonstrated WHAT the technology or the phone did and HOW to use the phone.  But instead they focus on the WHY. Take family photos, running with your i watch as you enjoy your run or workout with a friend. Simon Sinek - find your why, book & ted talk. You can write down your goals and create a plan but when you get knocked down your PASSION is the reason you get back up.

Tony Robbins tells us. People accomplish tasks/goals in 2 ways:

1. Push requires willpower, it never lasts.  --- OR ---

2. Pull is your why, it pulls you towards activities that aligns with your passion or vision

What is your why? Why do you get you get up everyday.

Life is not easy. If it was easy everyone would do it

You will get tired but your why gives you the extra energy

  • Who are you fighting for?
  • What gets you up early.

Purpose lights a fire in you.

Do what is easy your life will be hard. Do what is hard your life will become easy.

Clarity on what your gift can truly add value

A larger vision of yourself

Some questions that I used to find my why:

  • What inspires me without any external motivator, including money? What do I love doing without a paycheck attached?
  • What catches my attention that I can spend hours investing in?
  • What’s something both significant in purpose and important to me personally that will last beyond my final breath?
  • What would get me out of bed in the morning without an alarm clock?
  • What would I invest as much time as possible in without expecting any applause or recognition?
  • Can WHY BE MONEY?

Let me expand with a technology company we have all heard of --- Apple, i PHONE

Apple demonstrates the “why sales approach” at its best.

They could demonstrated WHAT the technology or the phone did and HOW to use the phone.  But instead they focus on the WHY. Take family photos, running with your i watch as you enjoy your run or workout with a friend.
