This week, I speak with Jesslyn McCutcheon who is the founder of Fighting Goliath for Mental Illness, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit ministry dedicated to supporting women who live with bipolar disorder. Since being diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder for over two decades, she is passionate about helping others overcome the hopelessness this illness can bring. She empowers women to lead more fulfilling lives through resources, shared experiences, and the Word of God. Jesslyn is affiliated with the American Association of Christian Counseling (AACC) and NAMI NW Piedmont (National Alliance for Mental Illness). She holds certifications in Adult Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Coaching and is a certified National Helpline Specialist with NAMI. Jesslyn, her husband, and three girls live in King, NC. We look at her childhood up to the present to find the beautiful thread of Jesus in her life.
