Harris is a certified rehabilitation counselor. A 2015 graduate of Maryville University, where she received her Master of Rehabilitation Counseling. Maya is the owner and founder of MJ's Coaching Corner, LLC. Her mission is to assist individuals of all abilities with the planning, coaching and transitioning of meeting life goals; while building the tools of life skill development. Maya is an adjunct instructor at UMSL where she teaches a vocational curriculum she designed, to students in the SUCCEED program. Maya also provides professional development to young scholars of a home school coop, Sovereign University.
