Season 2, Episode #02 - with Eileen Power ~ India & The Leela Foundation

In this episode I spoke to an old friend of mine Eileen Power. Eileen is a woman of many talents, which include being Hypnotherapist and a Kundalini Yoga Teacher. Eileen has been to India on several occasions, a country which is very special to Eileen's heart and had resonated with her so much for her to return so many times. We had a great discussion on the work Eileen does and her upcoming adventure to India. This time she is going for a great cause. Eileen is raising funds for the Leela Foundation charity. The Leela Foundation was set up to help alleviate poverty by training woman to give them marketable vocational skills, so that they can provide for their children, allowing them to start or remain in education, rather then having to go to work to help the family. It evolved and Leela school was built. It took it's first pupils last year and they are already winning awards. There are 160 children enrolled for the upcoming school year. It costs the equivalent of 15 euros per month to support a child. This provides for all their educational and nutritional needs. They are fed twice a day, 6 days a week and for a lot of the children this is the only food they have.
