Season 2, Episode 22 - Quote from Benjamin Franklin, Department of Homeland Security grant, Canada's free universal health care system, debt ceiling, hybrids vs. EVs, shopping app TEMU, and more!

In this week's episode, we repeat a previous quote from Benjamin Franklin on why the government should not make a living in poverty comfortable and tie that quote back to the new work requirement for food stamp benefits that is part of the new proposed debt ceiling cap legislation.  In our stupidest thing I've heard all week segment, I'll tell you about a $350,000 grant the Department of Homeland Security gave to a small college to come up with a "Right-wing radicalization" pyramid graphic that lumps organizations like the Republican National Committee and Fox News in with Neo-Nazi and White Supremacist groups.  We'll play a 3-minute video from a Canadian woman who explains how Canada's "Free universal health care system" is not only NOT free but how people are dying needlessly because of it and why Canadians are traveling to the US to find (and pay for) vital & timely health care. You can watch that video here: https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=1244647913128963    I'll tell you how much money the US Government has to borrow every minute to cover this year's projected $1.6 TRILLION budget deficit.  In our science segment, I'll share a study that Toyota performed that shows that Hybrid vehicles create 37 times fewer carbon emissions than a comparable 100% EV vehicle.  I'll go into more detail on the dangerous TEMU shopping app, why you should never download it to your phone, and why you should delete it if you already did.  Our taxpayer relief shot comes to us from Houston, where a thug brings a stick to a gunfight with a store clerk who is armed with a gun.
