In another dynamic episode of " Living in the Sweet Spot" we sit down with actress Baadja-Lyne Odums who is currently appearing as the mesmerizing and powerful "Marva" on Tyler Perry's hit cult show “Ruthless” on BET+. However, her humble roots in Chicago's Cook County are where her dreams of acting began to take shape. She was often reminded that it was unrealistic for a young black girl to even think of being an actor. Undeterred, she continued to watch the amazing stories on the tiny black and white television screen that transported her to other places. Against all odds, she knew she must find a way to be in those stories and she found herself in the city of angels making her dreams a reality. Baadja-Lyne Odums worked hard throughout the years to learn the art of acting, honing her skills, with faith in God, coupled with unyielding determination landed her numerous appearances in stage, films and television and she is overjoyed to continue her journey in Tyler Perry's Ruthless, and continues to proclaim, "to God be the glory -- Baadja Ouba!"(at one with God who is king !)
