Last month (August 2019), Dave Chappelle dropped his newest stand-up comedy special, 'Sticks & Stones,' to the horror or delight — depending on who you are. In the last few years, Dave has been teetering on the line of folks to succumb to "Cancel Culture," and it's been said some of his jokes in this recent stand-up push him over the edge... but do they really? For this episode of 'Adult-ish', host Afiya and co-host Vincent Bernard talk about the struggles of comedy, whether or not things should be looked at as "offensive," or just a joke — without having seen Chapelle's latest show. The two discuss riding that fine line, what it means (to them) to take a joke like an adult, and give their own thoughts on comedy ahead of watching the Netflix special.
