Season 3 - Ep. 9 - Handheld's Road to Punk Perfection and The History Behind Their New Album A Canadian Tragedy

from The Powered By Rock Podcast · host Powered By Rock

I am going to be speaking with the Canadian punk band Handheld today! These dudes took a 14-year break after lead singer, Andy, left the band, only to return a few years ago and this year they put out one of the best punk albums of 2022 with their new LP A Canadian Tragedy. The album is filled with some very interesting stories about mostly historical Canadian figures which will be a topic of conversation today as punk rock isn’t necessarily synonymous with history lessons. We’ll be speaking with the guys about their incredible new album and more right after this! Intro Music: "Colorado" by Birds Love Filters Outro Music: "Snail Mail" by Speedway Sleeper Donate to keep the Powered By Rock Podcast alive and well: https://anchor.fm/poweredbyrock Handheld's Links: https://linktr.ee/handheldpunk Pat's other band Curbside: https://www.instagram.com/curbsidepunk/ Make sure to check out Handheld's Recommendations: Debt Cemetary
