Season 3 Episode 18: Interview with Genevieve Rohner

Welcome to Season 3 of the Dressage Today Podcast. In this episode, Stephanie and Aviva talk about staying motivated in the winter, and Aviva answers a question about what part of the horse/rider should be at X during the halt. Then we share an interview Stephanie did with para-rider Genevieve Rohner following her Win-a-Day clinic with Adrienne Lyle in November.Genevieve Rohner, from Park City, Utah, is a triplet, born at 28 weeks, and her underdeveloped nervous system led to a diagnosis of numerous disabilities. Her introduction to horses came through hippotherapy, and she is classified as a Grade IV rider. Genevieve started showing at rated dressage shows in 2018 and FEI grade level tests in 2019. At 12 years old, Genevieve earned two spots on the USEF Para Emerging Athletes list and earned blue ribbons at the 2020 Para Dressage Championships, her first national event. She received a grant from The Dressage Foundation and will be training with Para-Dressage Olympian, Kate Shoemaker, in Florida with the plan on competing in Wellington this season.
