In this episode of the SPMA Council Podcast, the squad welcomes SPMA alumnus Evan MacDonald, who is the founder and owner of the Wheeled Brew, a mobile bar business that serves outstanding craft beers for a variety events on literal wheels! To help co-host, we welcome an old friend of the show for this episode, as Evan Pike steps back behind the mic! Evan, joining us from the Wheeled Brew's first store location in Barrie, talks to us about his mindset of keeping an open mind, failing fast, and using the lessons from those failures to move in a positive direction. He elaborates on his time in the SPMA program with respect to the niches he envisioned himself going into, and he also gives an inside look into the process behind dealing with various clients/managing relationships at Sigma Promotions. Additionally, he describes the wealth of knowledge he gained from a role that required him to wear a lot of knowledge "hats" to succeed. The conversation then shifts to his current venture, The Wheeled Brew. Evan gives us insight into the unique business model that he established through inspiration from a less-than-appealing wedding bar table, and gives us a look into how the Wheeled Brew operates at each event. Evan also tells us about how he decided to open up the Wheeled Brew's first store location, and the unique rationale behind naming each bar truck.
