In this week's podcast, our quote of the week is from Winston Churchill, who describes the biggest respective problems with Capitalism & Socialism.   In our stupidest thing I've heard all week segment, we have two contenders:  One is a claim by some people that states who will not accept just a college ID as proof of official & legal residency for the purposes of registering to vote is an act of voter suppression. The second is a story headline that reads: ""Why right-wingers are so afraid of men eating vegetables." You decide the winner.   We'll tell you how much money (measured in BILLIONS) that Ford is predicting they will lose on the sale of their electric vehicles this year, that loss despite the massively large taxpayer funded tax incentives that can cut the net cost of an EV purchase by more than 50%.   We'll tell you about the revised estimate from the US Department of Energy that you didn't hear about on the news about how much per month those costly new high-efficiency stoves (The only ones you can buy in a few years) will save you. Hint: Now measured in pennies, not dollars as originally promised.   In a true "Hold my beer and watch this" effort, the City of Portland, Oregon has decided to take on San Francisco in a battle for the title of "Fastest declining city in the United States," and the hole that decline is creating in the City's tax revenues.   We'll play a 30-second clip of Comedian/political commentator Bill Maher telling his guest that when it comes to housing illegal immigrants in this country that Democrats are hypocrites and "Full of Sh*t".   Our taxpayer relief shot comes to us from Raleigh, NC where a woman is trying to escape from an enraged driver who drives her car into a supermarket parking lot o try and get away from him. It does not end well for the driver of the other car when he follows her into the parking lot and tries to open her car door.
