@DannyKurtzman and @TheSteveWay visited the TyePod in this episode to talk all things acting (Good Things, Bad Things)! I asked them about their experiences becoming actors while living life with progressive disability and what it’s been like to overcome many of the obstacles in the field. They emphasized the gains that are still happening despite many of the persistent limitations keeping more people with disabilities from careers in every area of film. Something that left an impact on me was how much solidarity and strength they shared while acknowledging the recent challenges our community is facing. For example, they shared their outlook on dating with a disability which has been extremely frustrating for many of us even with the convenience of apps.
