Season 3 Podcast 186 The Road to Power, Machiavellian Pragmatism, A Glimpse into the Future Pt II
from A New Voice of Freedom · host Ronald
The Road to Power, Machiavellian Pragmatism, Rules # 30 – 40: “A Glimpse into the Future, Pt II.” It took a visionary like John to see into the future and imagine a world that could make such a nightmare possible. It took a world with nuclear weapons, missiles, worldwide communication technology, computer dependency, jets, biological warfare, television, satellites, domino financial instability, worldwide polarization of ideologies, the rise of “--isms,” energy crisis, religious bigotry, bloodlust, propaganda driven media, international hatred, unstable weather conditions, runaway debt, toppling governments, world poverty, incessant war and ubiquitous crises, unlimited technology, unlimited power, a lack of humility, widespread immorality, and loss of faith in God.Rule # 35 “A prince, therefore, must not mind incurring the charge of cruelty for the purpose of keeping his subjects united and confident.” Rule # 33 “A prince ought to have no other aim or thought, nor select anything else for his study, than war and its rules and discipline; for this is the sole art that belongs to him who rules, and it is of such force that it not only upholds those who are born princes, but it often enables men to rise from a private state to that rank. And on the contrary, it is seen that when princes have thought more of ease than of arms they have lost their states…. He ought never, therefore, to have out of his thoughts this subject of war, and in peace he should addict himself more to its exercise than in war; this he can do in two ways, the one by action, the other by study.” Throughout history the two beasts have raised their ugly heads; but only now are they given new life; only now do they have the potential for global power, only now can they destroy the world, or more accurately provoke us to destroy ourselves. The beasts have always been the same. Man is fragmented, burning with this cause or that, but Satan isn’t. Satan is the only true conspirator who acts on a global scale. All those who want to destroy the freedom of man are enemies to God and servants to Satan.Slaves to the Romans, John saw the two beasts in his own day. Satan may change strategy to fit the moment, but he never changes his goals to bring man into misery and captivity. He has always used man who has become his willing slaves to bring the world under domination. Every age has probably produced the two beasts; however, never before today has it been so global. Never has the opportunity for mass destruction been so unlimited, and never have so many madmen had access to atomic weapons, comprehensive and instant communication, and unimaginable power. Perhaps in the past there have been nations who modeled the two beasts, but in the future, it will be on a global scale unlike anything the earth has witnessed. Indeed, in modern politics the tactics described by Machiavelli will become more widespread.Only one person on this planet could rule with perfect justice and perfect charity, and He was crucified. In His absence, who would rule the earth? —the meek! The meek may rule the next life, but they do not rule this life. Since Cain killed Abel, man, under the influence of Satan, has sought riches and power through tyranny, murder, and conspiracy. Imagine what would quickly happen under one global rule where all the world power is concentrated in a single person or small group of persons! Those in power use bribery to keep the strong in subservience and coercion to keep the weak in submission. In a global society, only those who would stop at nothing could rise to power, even if there was a pretense at democracy. There would be assassinations, machinations, collusions, secret societies, and rivers of blood leading to the throne. It would be a Machiavellian hell!
