Season 3 Podcast 204 Recognizing the Hand of God Pt I A, Mortality vs Immortality

from A New Voice of Freedom · host Ronald

Recognizing the Hand of God, Mortality vs. ImmortalityI am beginning a new series entitled “Recognizing the Hand of God.” This is the first in the series. The other examples will follow randomly. The purpose of this series is to prove that God works by law; that all blessings of God are based upon law; otherwise, faith could not develop, and it is only by faith that miracles occur, and it is only by faith that we follow the commandments of God. By discovering law, we can discover the hand of God. For example, consider the laws of nature. There is a cause and there is an effect. We call that The Principle of Causality. God is the God of nature, and God works through law, whether natural law or spiritual law.  They are both subject to the Principle of Causality. In other words, if we want electricity, we must obey the conditions of the laws of electricity.  If we want a blessing from God, we must obey the commandments or conditions established by God to receive that blessing. I will illustrate this principle with the following example from the Ten Commandments often referred to as the commandment with a promise.“Honor thy father and thy mother, so that thy days may be long in the land that the Lord thy God giveth thee.”The condition is “to honor your father and mother.”  The promise is that “your days will be long in the land that the Lord thy God gives you.”  The condition, stated as a commandment, is the cause, the blessing is the effect.  It is not my purpose here to explicate the verse or to define the terms. I’ll save that for another podcast. Here, I shall just say that the Lord gave Moses the Ten Commandments before they reached the Promised Land. The Ten Commandments, as stated by James in the New Testament, is The Law of Liberty. The fifth commandment was given as the key to the longevity of a nation. The Children of Israel were not intended by the Lord to have kings. They were meant to be led by prophets but judged by righteous judges chosen by the people. Though theocratic it was not a totalitarian state. It was a democracy. They had twelve tribes comparable to our states. Each tribe would choose their own judges. It was the perfect model. Strong families are essential to any free nation. The Ten Commandments apply just as much to America as they did to the Twelve Tribes of Israel, and it is just as important for America to obey the fifth commandment as it was for the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Just as the House of Israel fell because the family fell, America will fall if the families fall. I urge everyone to resist any attack on the family. There is no greater act of treason in America than the act of destroying the family. There is an old Catholic hymn adopted by all Christians entitled “Faith of our Fathers,” which is a clear reference to the Fifth Commandment.  The following are verses 3 & 4:3 | Faith of our fathers, we will striveTo win all nations unto thee; And through the truth that comes from GodMankind shall then indeed be free.Faith of our fathers! holy faith! We will be true to thee till death!4 | Faith of our fathers, we will loveBoth friend and foe in all our strife,And preach thee, too, as love knows howBy kindly words and virtuous life.Faith of our fathers! holy faith! We will be true to thee till death!
