Season 3 Podcast 237, "What is Real, Pt 7, Ariel E, The Atonement, Assumptions 33-60"

from A New Voice of Freedom · host Ronald

“What is Real, Pt 7, Ariel E The Atonement, Assumptions 33-60.”Practically speaking we can only list a few of the thousands of assumptions that define the Christian world view. As pointed out in the previous podcast, which was an interlude to describe the two primary world views that govern America today, the assumptions are taken from the five stages of the plan of salvation. (1) Our pre-mortal life, (2) the Creation, Garden of Eden, and the fall of man, (3) our earth life, (4) our life after death in the spirit world or period between death and the resurrection, and (5) our life after the resurrection and final judgment. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. From that we learn a very important assumption. 33.  The Father of Jesus is also our Father.“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed by thy name.” (Matthew 6: 9)Related to the above assumption, we learn that34.  We should pray to our Father in Heaven.13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.35.  When praying to the Father, we must pray in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:4-7) We were those morning stars who sang together, and we were those sons of God who shouted with joy. Therefore, that leads to Assumption36.  As immortal spirits, we lived in heaven with God and Jesus Christ before the earth was even created. 4 Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (Jeremiah 1:4-5) 37.  Prophets are foreordained by God before even coming to the earth. 4 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: (Matthew 25:34)God knew us all as spirits. But specifically, we learn the following assumption from the above:38.  In heaven, we, like the prophets, were all foreordained by God to inherit a kingdom before the foundation of the world. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3: 14-17) We learn of the foreordained mission of Christ to be our Savior.  The assumptions are39.  It was necessary for Christ to die for our sins.40.  It was the Father’s will that Jesus Christ sacrifice himself for our sins.41.  Those who believe in Christ will have everlasting life. 42.  The purpose of the atonement of Christ was to save the world, not to condemn it. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? (Hebrews 12:9)
