The Last Days Pt V: The Signs of the TimesMany events accompany the Second Coming of Christ. On the Mount of Olives, the disciples had a private conversation with the Savior about the end of the world.3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (Matthew 24:3)Christ gave a disturbing list. It is divided into four stages. Stage One1.     many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.2.      ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: 3.      nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.4.      they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.5.     then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.6.      many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.7.     because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.Stage one is marked by false Christs, wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, persecution against Christians, betrayal, the love of man shall wax cold. We are seeing stage one unfold before our eyes daily. Stage TwoStage Two is unique.8.     this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.9.     When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy placeThe gospel of Christ must be spread throughout the earth. John the Revelator refers to the same event.6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. (Revelation 14:6-7)At the end there will be a great dichotomy. There will be those who stand for Christ and those who stand against Christ. There will be those who follow the true teachings of Christ and those who follow their own philosophies and call it Christian. And most of all there will be good versus evil. Like never before there will be a great division. The good people of the earth will have to stand together against those who have the mark of the beast. As previous podcasts stated Babylon will fall prior to the coming of Christ. Babylon represents those who follow the natural man and satisfy the lusts of the flesh. Babylon is not to be confused, however, with the violence of war that will mark the last days. Stage ThreeThe Third stage is the Great Tribulation.10.  then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.11.  there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
