Season 4 - 001 - Safety management in ATM - Cliona Mimnagh - AirNav Ireland

This episode opens the new season of our podcast series. Vincent's guest today is Cliona Mimnagh - the Safety Manager Terminal Services at AirNav Ireland. We hear about Cliona's career path,  what are the goals of safety in ATM an how is it managed, how do colleagues with engineering and with operational backgrounds work together, how is the safety unit organised within the ANSP, how are the two sides of safety dealt with - the management of hazards and the project side i.e. safety assessment. We learn about safety work division in the COOPANS Alliance and how the safety work is devided and managed between the new Irish ANSP and the regulator and what were the main opportunities and challenges to handle in this new set up.
