Season 4, Ep. 13: FAD# 18 — Getting in My Black Lives Protesting Bag
from Adult-Ish · host Afiya Augustine
Disclaimer: this episode of "Fifi After Dark," speaks heavily to the ongoing #BlackLivesMatter protests going on globally. If you are tired of protesting talk, we HIGHLY advise you to give yourself a break and skip this episode. In this co-opted return of 'Fifi After Dark," host Afiya gives a sober and somber monologue regarding the on-going protests rocking the nation over police brutality and #BlackLives Matter. Why she does her best to NOT judge how anyone should protest, she does give the options available as well as her honest opinion on what protesting may look like for her; a thought that sorely needs to be considered by everything looking to make a change. She also tackles the idea of racism (which some may find controversial), how Black people in America — and worldwide for that matter — should combat the disease, and does her best to purge herself of lingering feelings about how to increase the quality of Black lives. This conversation is not for the faint of hearts, nor is it meant to incite division. It's all about starting a conversation.
