Deana Kiser was 29 years old, living in Boston, enjoying a successful HR career, seeing friends, working out, enjoying a busy social life and her new boyfriend when a sudden and seemingly minor incident on an exercise machine turned into a battle with chronic pain that has lasted for decades.She tried surgery, numerous doctors, drugs, and ended up on her parents' couch, depressed and dependant on opiates.
