Celebrating Women in Horror, Part 7 (Final Segment)As a quick reminder, this is what the movie is about: When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 70-year-old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it. Sitting down and hearing Charlotte’s perspective about the memorable kill in this movie was very exciting. I mean, I had to pose the question why her character was killed. Was she doing the downward dog incorrectly? Was the yoga mat too cheap for Johnny’s approval? Or was she in Johnny’s spot? There are many questions regarding her death… And there are many fan theories as to why Johnny was killing them all. Seriously, just kill the one person who stole the locket. The moral of the story is, don’t take what’s not yours. Or we can go with Charlotte’s theory: Don’t mess with Mother Nature.
