from A New Voice of Freedom · host Ronald

Season 4 Podcast 48 The First Amendment: “Congress Shall Make No Law Respecting the Establishment of Religion Pt II”The First Amendment explicitly states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.”  In other words, there should be no state religion.  It does not say there should be no religion in the state, yet they are trying to remove God from everything.  However, you cannot remove religious people from government when the majority of those whom politicians love to refer to as “we the people” are religious.  No matter where they go, religious people are going to carry their religion with them.  For that matter, religious or not, people carry their morals, personal values, and ethics with them wherever they go.  In terms of the First Amendment, what is the difference between the Ten Commandments of Christianity and the multiplicity of commandments of the democratic socialists? The left has become the state religion. They think that by denying God they can impose their religion on everyone and condemn the religion of others. There is a general hypocrisy in government today.Notice, however, the level of specificity.  The Ten Commandments deal with principles of moral behavior.  The commandments of the left become a long list of ‘thou shalt nots.’  It is the level of specificity that takes away freedom.  It is one thing to say, ‘Thou shalt take care of the land.’ It is another to say, Thou shalt not eat meat, drink from plastic straws, wear fur, burn fossil fuels, oppose gay marriage, etc.  In a world ruled by fanatical causes, laws will multiply like cancer cells dividing until it infects the entire nation.  If you separate those who believe in the Beatitudes:·      Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.·      Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.·      Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.·      Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.·      Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.·      Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.·      Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.·      Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.·      Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. (Matthew 5:3-11)3 RONYou must also separate those who believe in the following commandments:·      Thou shalt not eat meat.·      Thou shalt not use fossil fuels.·      Thou shalt not use the term illegal alien·      Thou shalt not drink out of a plastic straw·      Thou shalt not eat sugar·      Thou shalt not wear furOne must ask the question, how is it that the moral virtues of the democratic socialists escape “separation of church and state” mania, but Christian virtues don’t.  Both are declarations of moral beliefs.  Because a political organization doesn’t call itself a religion does not exclude it from falling under religious biases.  A religion is a compilation of shared moral values regardless of whether or not they believe in a supernatural being. It is absurd to condemn the moral values of one organization because its members believe in God and allow the moral values of another organization legal status because its members do not believe in God under the guise of separation of church and state.
