Season 5, Episode 6 - Quotes by Thomas Sowell and Milton Freidman, plans from Kamala Harris to bring inflation under control, grad student too busy protesting to work on her dissertation, and more!
from The situation with Jerzee Joe · host Jerzee Joe
Our quote of the week is actually two related quotes on the history of the failure of Socialism, one by Thomas Sowell and the other by the Nobel-award-winning economist the late Milton Freidman. In the stupidest thing I've heard all week, we'll play a clip of VP Kamala Harris struggling to answer the simple question: "What are your plans to bring inflation under control"? In a close second, we'll tell you about a University graduate student complaining about how getting arrested for participating in an illegal on-campus protest interferes with her time to work on her Doctoral Dissertation. We'll tell you about a ridiculous claim by the head of the Federal Trade Commission, who is planning on launching a probe into what she claims are "enormous profits" being made by large grocery store chains even though none of them operate on a profit margin greater than 3%. We'll tell you how many IRS employees owe the agency back taxes and ask why they are still working there if they haven't paid their own taxes. We'll tell you which national labor union has stopped paying its office staff employees and locked them out of their workplace. We'll play a clip of a young black woman who spoke at the Trump rally in Georgia last week, and she tells the audience why Kamala Harris is no friend of Black people. In a follow-up to last week's story on the looming death of San Francisco, we'll give you another reason businesses are fleeing the city: sky-high electric rates. Our taxpayer relief shot comes to us from San Antonio, where the owner of a stolen pick-up truck locates his truck and gets into a gunfight with the thief who stole it.
