Season 6 EP 2: The Art of Peacemaking

from Art & Faith Conversations

Author, Diana Oestreich, is a Iraq War veteran who served as a combat medic in the Army National Guard. She's an activist, sexual assault nurse and the key relationships officer at Preemtive Love, a global relief organization working to end war. Her new book, Waging Peace, is her story of going from soldier to peacemaker when she heard God's call for her to love her enemies in the most unlikely place: the battlefield of Iraq. We talk about how the art of writing and story telling has helped her heal from war trauma. Her stories have also been able to serve as a bridge to connect others across their political, ethnic or religious divides. Diana is available to speak at your group or visit your book club.
