Uganda and Ukraine are celebrated in Today's episode; I am amazed that every tribe and tongue is being reached for the Kingdom of Christ. Even more exciting is that Uganda and Ukraine joined the podcast early, and despite the troubles in both nations, they have held their respective places since. Glory to God. Welcome to the Free Range Preacher on Prayer on Prayer podcast. Today, we talk about our greatest earthly blessing: being able to talk to the Creator of the universe freely and openly. Our God so loved that He gave His only begotten Son to redeem our souls; we get to talk to Him whenever we need, which is our every-day need. My friend Ruth poignantly reminded me of the blessing of prayer. Many years ago, her husband discipled me through one of the toughest times in my life; in fact, Monte Kuka was in one of our episodes. Thank you, Ruth, for your humble way of reminding me of our awesome gift of communion with our God and Savior. As we are besotted with the word of God, He teaches us of Himself and forms the content of our prayers. We begin with Psalm 19:7-14 and learn the function of the word of God in our lives. God, through His word, informs us He: Restores us. Schools us in true wisdom. Delights us. Enlightens us to true beauty. Grows our reverence of Him. Shows us sound judgments. Displays God's worth. Warns us. Offers great reward Reveals to us our error. Guards us from presumptuous sins. Our so what? Prayer is informed through the depth and breadth of God's revealed word. Praying, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer," is perhaps a worthy way to begin the bulk of our prayers.
