Season 8, Episode 19 - Congressman Wesley Hunt, the Earth orbiting the Sun, Apple iPhones, Lox and Loaded, the war in Iran, federal minimum wage, White House correspondent’s dinner, and much more!

In this week's podcast, our quote of the week is from Congressman Wesley Hunt on the apparent miracle that allowed him, as a black man living in Texas, to obtain multiple forms of picture ID and proof of citizenship. In the stupidest thing I’ve heard all week, we’ll tell you about a South Carolina inmate on death row whose execution has been indefinitely postponed because he now claims that he is immortal. In our runner-up to the stupidest thing I’ve heard all week, we have two contenders: The first is a poll showing what percentage of Americans believe that the Sun orbits the Earth rather than the Earth orbiting the Sun. The second is a poll telling us what percentage of Americans believe the shooting at the White House correspondent’s dinner was a staged event. We’ll tell you why if you bought an iPhone 15 or 16 in the last few years, Apple will send you a check if you ask. We’ll tell you about a Jewish-backed firearm training organization with 50 chapters nationwide that calls itself “Lox & Loaded”. Since the conflict with Iran began on February 28th, we’ll tell you about where 55 Americans have been killed and 200 others wounded, and why Iran is not responsible for any of those deaths or injuries. In another terrible example of what can happen when our immigration laws are not enforced, we’ll tell you where an illegal immigrant with prior convictions has now been charged with raping a 10-year-old girl in her school, years after his first arrest in 2021. In an equally shocking story, we’ll tell you where an elected district attorney established a policy that allowed his prosecutors to offer special plea deals to illegal immigrants charged with serious crimes in his county. We tell you about a push by Democrats to raise the US Minimum wage to $25.00 per hour and the economic impact that could have. We tell you about a fight brewing between NY City Mayor Mamdani and a Billionaire who employs thousands of people in NY and owns a multi-million-dollar condominium in that City. Our taxpayer relief shot segment this week is from Texas, where a man shoots & kills a man trying to carjack his car that already has his entire family sitting inside it.
