In 1989, on North Main Street in Sharon, Massachusetts, Muriel Moody Nelson led the dedication ceremony of a life-size statue commemorating her great-great-great-grandmother, Deborah Sampson. The statue depicts Sampson dressed half in Continental Army attire and half in traditional women’s attire.
