Seattle mayoral primary results: Incumbent Bruce Harrell trails challenger Katie Wilson

On this episode: Preliminary results from Seattle's Aug. 5 mayoral primary show incumbent Bruce Harrell and Katie Wilson advancing in a closely contested race, with Wilson leading as mail-in ballots continue to be counted through mid-August. Harrell, who was endorsed by Gov. Bob Ferguson (D) and members of Washington's congressional delegation, is seeking a second term. Wilson, a housing advocate and organizer, has campaigned on proposals including expanding emergency housing through tiny homes. The election also features several other races in which incumbents are trailing challengers, including contests for city attorney and city council president. Seattle has not re-elected an incumbent mayor since 2005.
