Hey Everybody! Welcome back to another episode of the Bolton Ebikes Podcast. I'm Kyle Chittock, your host of Bolton Ebikes Podcast and of course, the owner of Bolton Ebikes. One common question I get is people wanting to know if they can add a second battery to their ebikes. So if you want to know all about parallel batteries, how to connect a second battery to your bike, and what does that mean, then this is the place to be.  This is the Bolton Ebikes Podcast. In today’s episode you’ll learn more about:  How can you get more range with your ebike and is it possible to mount a second battery on your ebike in parallel? What does a parallel battery connector do? How does that parallel connector work and where can you get one? Kyle breaks down the inside info into batteries and how they work on their own and together. When batteries that are equal capacity, equal voltage and in parallel, not in series - how does that affect the range and performance? How to avoid unsafe conditions with using two batteries.  Why it’s a bad idea to wire something yourself if you don’t know what you’re doing, as it can cause batteries to explode and/or catch fire.  Thanks again for listening to another episode of the Bolton Ebikes Podcast.  I appreciate you for listening and being here again. It's also a podcast for people who believe money can be fun and want to guide their thoughts about it in positive directions. Our host, Dan Danford, serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Family Investment Center, a full-service, commission-free investment advisory firm. You'll see his name and those of his team across publications like The Wall Street Journal, U.S. News and World Report, Forbes, Kansas City Star, Chicago Tribune, BusinessWeek and more -- often surrounding somewhat unconventional (but absolutely smart, experience-driven and level-headed) information about money. If Dan's wisdom has been called upon by these sources for its uniqueness and savvy, it's because he has had a unique journey.
