This week we another 4 battles, but also another short episode. At the second battle of Memphis, August 21st, 1864, Confederate Maj. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest raid the Union held city of Memphis.Also August 21st, it's the battle of of Summit Point, West Virginia as the second battle of the Shenandoah Valley Campaign.We head back to the Siege of Petersburg on August 25th where the Union attempt to destroy the Petersburg Railroad, which was a vital supply line for Robert E.
