Suddenly, Nels is smiling again, cracking jokes, and looking suspiciously like a man who’s discovered the meaning of life (and maybe love) over a cup of tea.Meanwhile, back in Walnut Grove, Harriet realizes something terrifying: Nels might actually not come back. Cue full panic mode. It’s possibly the most begrudging display of vulnerability ever committed to frontier television.Will Nels leave his life for Mollie’s kindness and her lilting accent? Or will Harriet’s last-ditch charm offensive win him back? Either way, the Olesons are serving up one of the wildest emotional rollercoasters this side of Plum Creek.
