Second Sunday of Advent: Preparing the Way of Reconciliation

What happens when the attachments that define us, and have defined us for generations, are ripped from us and we find ourselves longing for "the good old days?" It's pretty easy to point fingers at a perceived enemy in the name of protecting "when things were better" and say, "There can be no peace between us." The reality of Christ tells us this does not prepare us for his coming.
