Secrets of Biblical Hebrew ~ Pt 2 ~ What is the Small Alef?
from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney
In this second teaching segment, we look at Leviticus 1:1 in Hebrew. When you look at this verse in Hebrew, there is a small alef which precedes the verse. By separating the small alef from the four letters that precede it, we can construct the phrase (from Hebrew), “And he esteemed/honored the small alef”. Who, or what is the small alef? The small alef represents Yeshua. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. Philippians 2:6-7 Leviticus 1:1 represents Yeshua in His humility. The alef represents the God of Israel. How is this so? Listen to find out! In this segment, we also examine the letter “beit”. “Beit” is associated with house, family, tribe, nation or temple. We will learn about Yeshua’s house and His family. We also look at the deeper spiritual (sod) meaning of gimel and dalet in this teaching segment.
