Secrets of Biblical Hebrew ~ Pt 3 ~ A Closer Look at "Hey" and "Vav"
from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney
In this teaching segment, we explore the deeper spiritual meaning of the letter “hey”. This letter means “Lo” or “behold” or “to reveal”. When you look at the letter “hey”, it has two legs and one of them is out of joint. This reminds us of Jacob, who became “Israel” and he became the father of the twelve tribes of Israel. The definition of the word “hei” is “to break”. The hey sound is made by breathing outward. The letter hey represents the breathe of God or the Holy Spirit. Yeshua breathed on his disciples to receive the Holy Spirit: Then said Yeshua to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:21-22 We also look at the deeper spiritual meaning of the letters, vav, zayin, chet, tet, yod, kaf, lamed, mem, and nun.
