In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the Supernatural Hour, I'm your host, Raven. And I'm Chad.
Hey, Chad. Hey, Raven. It's just us again. Just us.
No, everyone else hasn't quit. It's just with some illnesses and just life things. It is just Chad and I. But I promise you, the fun, interesting people will be back.
And speaking of fun and interesting, we have been talking a little bit here and there about our 200th episode. It's coming up pretty quick. Yes, or the next episode. This one you'll hear on the 11th of January.
Our next just regular episode number 199 will be on the 25th of January. The big warm-up episode. And then it will be the first podcast in February that you hear that will be our 200th episode. And can we tell people about it now?
I think so. We've got a book. We've got a book. So we have been telling you that our 200th episode is going to be somewhere that we've podcast about and we're super excited and it was going to be in the Queen Mary.
Yeah, we lied to you. Not on purpose. Not on purpose. So we were going to go to the Queen Mary.
We had it all planned in our head. I just had to book it. And so I was so excited. We were going to book the haunted room.
We were going to stay the night in the haunted room, you know, everybody that could go and I called anyone answered and I got online and they're closed for COVID. Vomer. So and I told the group, I said, well, you know, I'll watch it for a week. You know, maybe it's just, you know, they're having to run.
Someone said, now it's been closed for a long time. I was like, dang it. So we have actually decided to go to Virginia City. I'm excited about that.
I am too, because we were actually going to go with a different group couple of years ago, like 2019, I think, 2018, 2019. We even paid in a little bit of earnest money so they could book the stuff that they needed to book. And I can't remember if they didn't get enough people to go or I don't know, something happened and they had to cancel it and I was really disappointed. So I'm super excited to be going to Virginia City.
We're going to be investigating the Washoe Club, the Silver Queen and possibly one of the museums that's there. Basically, the whole town is crazy haunted. You could probably just pull up in any random parking lot and investigate, but we're going to do some cool stuff. We've already got the Washoe Booked.
We've got the Silver Queen Booked. So it's going to be fun. Do you have a little paranormal history about the Washoe Club? No.
What about the most adventures or something? Yeah, Ghost Adventures went there. I think that was the first episode they did or the first episode that they did that went big. Yeah, kind of put them on the map from what I understand.
So you know how I feel about that, so we're not going to go much more into that one. But I'm excited. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. And what we'll do, if you're one of our patrons, you get a newsletter in the newsletter, you know what our podcast topics are for the whole quarter.
So I will just apologize now because all of January does kind of out the window. So my apologies starting February and March. We should be back on track. So my apologies there.
Luckily this is the first time we've gone completely psycho-wacko on changing topics, so I hope they still love us. We hope they still love us, please. And if you listen to this and you listen to us regularly, but you should because we're fun. If you want to know what we're doing, the whole quarter, we become a Patreon and you too can get the newsletter.
The newsletter. So I think what we will do is our next podcast, we will give some history. And then when we do our podcast at the wash, we're not going to do it live because I don't know how to do that live. We will be recording it live.
We'll record it live. And so what we'll do, poor Chad's going to have to do a lot of editing. But what we'll do is we'll get there, we'll introduce everybody, we'll kind of tell you where we are, what we're doing, what we've seen. We'll do some investigating that we record.
You know, we'll probably pause and do some investigating because we don't want Chad to have to review 18 hours of video. He'll mute me and you'll never have another podcast again. But then we'll do, you know, we'll record some while we're investigating. We will, you know, just investigate and then come back and tell you what has happened.
It's going to be a really, really fun episode, I think. I think it'll be interesting. We've got a book for pretty much all night from seven in the evening until seven in the morning. Technically five in the evening because we get to go on their last tour, so that we can kind of get the layout before they just walk us in and say bye.
So we're looking forward to it. So everyone pray for good weather in February because first week in February, we need some good weather. Pack warm clothes because I don't know how well it is February. I'm packing warm clothes.
Well, I'm saying as I've looked at some of the YouTube videos in the winter up there, it looks like everybody's in coats. I will be in my youth sweatshirt. So y'all knew I changed from BYU fan to youth fandom, correct? I know that.
I can't. Just for fun. For those of you that aren't in the know, in Utah, there's two schools. There's Brigham Young University, which is a private university owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where the Mormons and most people still refer.
And then there's the University of Utah, which is a state school, and they're only separated by what? Like 60 miles? 40 miles? This is one of the biggest college rivalries in the nation.
I think I saw a thing listed as number three or number seven. It's in the top 10. And it is so toxic. I mean, it's not even fun.
I've heard people say, you know, it's just such a toxic rivalry. It's not even fun. Some rivalries are fun, but this one can get really mean and nasty. I grew up at BYU fan, and then I started going to the University of Utah.
So I switched teams. I'm no a youth fan. So anyway, how did we get there from Washout? Because I'll be wearing my youth sweatshirts up there.
You might be more than just a sweatshirt than a hoodie. It might be cold. But we'll go over there. There will be a coat.
I'll have layers and like an onion. I could come back with a remark on that, but I know what you meant by that, that you're doing layers. Layers, like an onion from Treck. Not like you're bitter and toxic.
Someone's sleeping on the couch tonight. Well, I wasn't going to say it. You could, of course, me. I did not.
I said I'm an onion. And people who are are... Carmelized onions are delicious. People with a good heart would think Shrek.
Well, like I said, says something about me too. Again, remember, I was one of your choices. Okay. So what topic are we doing today?
Oh, before we jump into our actually non-topic, we have a residential. We do. You had a residential. I had a residential.
Yeah, it was in the middle of the day, so you didn't come on this one. So this was... That pesky work thing gets in the way sometimes. I know.
So this one was in a home in Draper. And the home, relatively new. A nice home. And the people who lived in this home, they had even there for terribly long.
And they're getting ready to sell it. They're both sensitive. And both of these women, just, there was places in the home that were really dark. As far as, you know, the fields, they didn't like going there.
And they were in certain parts of the home. And I don't remember that they really said that there was anything that happened. It wasn't like, oh, we see shadows from here, voices. The mother and the daughter just, you know, again, were both sensitive and could just tell that there was heaviness in a few of the places.
So it was me, Denise, Laura, and Candace. And when we got there, it was really interesting. Oh, they also had two mirrors in the master bedroom that just kind of gave off some weird vibes. So I went in and, for those of you that haven't listened or haven't heard, we talk about this because I don't talk about it a lot.
I can do a psychometry, which means I can touch something and get energy behind it. And one of three things will happen. If I touch something and kind of focus. So if you think, if you ever watched that movie on the Haunting of Hill House, there was the girl that could touch things.
It was always wearing the white gloves. And she had to put the gloves on so that I'm her, but I don't have to wear gloves because I have to concentrate and think and purposely do it. I don't want to touch things. Sometimes I have, but not very often.
I've touched things sometimes in the E. But I don't have to wear gloves on that. Not that sensitive, but I have to focus. Anyway, but one of three things will happen.
I either get a color picture in my head. Or I will get a white background with a black word on it. Or words. It's interesting.
I had a friend who, her husband thought this was fascinating. And every few days I'd get a knock at the door and he'd be standing there and he'd hand me something. Hold this, hold this, tell me this, tell me this. He thought it was just really fascinating.
Well, one time I went to their house. Because we actually had a scumaborn doing investigation. So we were doing an investigation and he handed me this paper bag. And he just handed me the bag, he was telling me about it.
And so I put the bag between my hands and I usually kind of rubbed my hands to get any residual stuff of whatever I touched during the day off. And I was waiting for the picture or waiting for the white background at the black word. Nothing, nothing. And I stood there for the longest time and I looked at him and I said, I got nothing.
And he looked so disappointed. He was like, what do you mean he got nothing? I got nothing. And I kept holding it because I thought, you know, have I lost this disability?
How about you? And all of a sudden both of my wrists just started to burn. But I had never had that happen before. So I didn't know what it meant.
And so I looked at him and, you know, I'm still standing there holding this. And I looked at him and I said, well, I said my wrists are starting to burn. But that's all. And I said, I have no idea what that means.
So, you know, I gave it back to me, smiled and he opens up this paper bag. It was like a lunch sack. You know, like a brown sack. Right.
Yeah. And I remember it was kind of the top was kind of curled over like you would without carrying a lunch sack. And it was, and you could tell it had been opened and closed many times. Yeah.
It wasn't like a pristine new lunch sack. Right. So he opens it up. He pulls out a baggie.
And in the baggie, there's three or four little middle pieces. And this friend of mine had worked in a correctional facility in California. And he was one of his specialties was finding things in the inmates' rooms that they weren't supposed to have. The contraband?
And so he would find the contraband and take it out. And he said, I took these little bits and pieces out of an inmate's shoes. He'd made them out of a soda can or something and kind of stuck them in his shoes and used them to get out of handcuffs. So they were tools to...
And so what I was feeling was the handcuffs on my wrists. Interesting. Anyway, so I can see or feel things three ways. A picture, color picture, white background at the blackboard or I'll get a burning sensation.
And I've gotten the burning sensation a couple times since then. Anywho. So I went in and one of the concerns in this residential were these mirrors. So I put my hand on the first mirror and it was part of an armoire.
And I said, it takes a minute to and I said, I just really feel some trauma. I said, you're the first owners of these pieces because I couldn't tell if they were actual antiques or if they were just... Reproductions. Reproductions.
If she had said, oh they're 100 years old it wouldn't surprise me. And she says, no, we're the first owners. And I said, has anybody passed in your family or in the home, whether it's had been or has just witnessed or been in some heavy trauma? And I said, I'm really getting that maybe someone associated with this committed suicide.
And she says, well actually my mother committed suicide. Through yes no questions, verified through dowsing rods and other equipment. We were getting multiple confirmation but it was her mother that was attached to it. Because of the situation we wanted to offer the homeowner the opportunity to talk to her mother.
But when it comes to situations like that we realized that there could be some sensitive questions that they might not want the masses to know. And now. So one of the things we said was, you know, you can try asking some questions in your head. And they should be able to hear you.
And I've talked to several different investigators and I've read several different investigators. Some people believe that spirits can hear your thoughts. Some people can't. In my experience, the type 3's, the demonic entities and negative entities can't.
But the type 1's, the good, you know, nice spirits can. So there's difference of opinions there. And might that be something with the connection to the people also? Not just any spirit but people that are connected.
Possibly. It could be family. And the only time I've had this work is when it has been family or friends or someone close. So we told her, we said, you know, think of some questions, ask some questions in your head.
Let's see if she answers. And so I just held the dowsing rods. And she asked several questions in her head. Because the dowsing rods would move.
And we were down. I said, you know, did the answers make sense? And she said, yeah, they did. She said everything.
You know, without how it should. She did tell us one question. And her question was, was she happy and the answer was yes. So we asked her if she wanted to cross.
She said she did. There was another spirit in the home. She lived. She didn't live in Utah.
She was passing through Utah. She wasn't one of the Mormon pioneers. She was hitting up like to Oregon on the Oregon Trail. And she had been killed on the trail.
She was there. She wanted to cross. There was a male spirit there. We talked to him a little bit.
I don't remember where he was from. It doesn't matter. Nobody here will know. I know, but it was kind of cool.
I can't remember where he was from. Oh, yes, I do. He was from Russia. Okay, that's different.
He was from Russia because we were trying to guess his name because it started with the K and then we figured out the letter U. We were throwing out words and we said, you know, will we be able to figure out your name? The answer was no. And we said, is it because it's a foreign name?
The answer was yes. So we started naming countries anyway. He said he was Russian. We asked him if he knew English and he said, broke in English.
We figured he knew English because he was talking to us. But he wanted to cross. He just kind of popped through in a portal. And like we mentioned before, we don't think that we have the ability to cross.
We believe that the spirits know how to cross. They're just not focused on it. So all we do is focus our energies to help them, to help them focus their energy. So we helped those three spirits cross over.
There was a type three. So we really rather a weak type three, which is a demonic entity. It was in the garage. So we cleared it out.
And then we found two portals. So we closed those portals. And it sounds like a pretty busy investigation. It was a very busy investigation.
I do think there was one more female upstairs. Yes, there was one more female upstairs who died of consumption. Which is usually tuberculosis. So when you were talking about the dowsing rods and the client for lack of a better term asking questions in her head and the dowsing rods are responding.
That story reminded me of the story when we were up in Clearfield. And we were working with that Spanish family. Yes. That Mexican family.
And the mother had some questions to her father. Was it? Yes, because it was her father's spirit that was there. And she did not speak very much English at all.
Yeah, very, very little. Raven was doing her thing with the rods and holding the rods. And the mother was asking questions in Spanish. And I know very little Spanish.
Yeah, I can get by with Burrito and Taco and Shimi Changa. I mean, I know I can order off the Del Taco or Taco Bell menu. That's about it. I know I know a handful of words.
I should know more than I do. But I don't. So anyway, Raven was holding the rods and the mother and this family. She was an older woman.
She was probably in her 50s or 60s. She was asking the questions in Spanish. And the dowsing rods were doing their thing crossing and going apart with the different questions. And you could kind of see in her eyes that she was getting the answers that she was wondering about.
And it was really interesting. And Raven needed to excuse herself for a few minutes. And she was able to ask the mother through the daughter that was there. If the answers, you know, did she feel like she got the questions answered?
That she was wondering about? And she said, yes, that was something. Yeah, I actually heard you ask the question. And the way you asked it, the way you phrased it was, are the answers you're getting to the questions, making sense.
Yeah. And she did. And was very happy with it. And she felt like she got some closure with these things with her father through this.
And it was very interesting. But this was one of those things when I say it kind of confirmed to me more about the effectiveness of the dowsing rods because we were getting answers that were consistent for the client. And we couldn't understand the questions. Yeah.
I had no clue. I mean, honestly, she asked what maybe I bet you she asked a hundred questions. No less than that. Probably 50 or 60.
I mean, she went for quite a while. I'm holding the dowsing rods and maybe just felt like that. But yeah, I mean, 50 or 60, she asked a lot of questions. And you know, she's speaking pure Spanish.
And I could pick out maybe a few words here and there. I mean, of the 50 questions that she asked and let's say each question has roughly, you know, four or five words. So let's just say five to make math easy. She said 250 words.
I probably understood five of them. Five unique ones. I mean, because there were several of the words that were repeated, but you know, for different questions. The questions you've got to look at it have got to, you know, result with a yes or no answer.
So it limits the questions to a certain way. But yeah, it's not like, oh, I know two words in every sentence so I can figure out what she said. No. No.
No. So anyway. But I, your description of the client asking the questions in her head to keep the not to disclose information that she didn't need to disclose to you. Correct.
That's an interesting approach on that. And then for her to confirm that they got answers that seem relevant for her questions. Right. We had one client that we did.
It's been about two years ago, the couple, the street from us. You'll know when I start talking about it. He and his husband were having some issues in their home. It turned out that his father was in the home and he asked, you know, and it's the same thing.
We said, you know, if there's anything you'd like to ask your dad, you know, we can be here the thousand or not. You can ask questions. If there's anything, you know, too sensitive, you can let us know and we can, you know, figure something out. He's like, oh, no.
I mean, he didn't care. And he asked a lot of questions. I bet he asked him the 50 60 question range as well. And many of them in Dutch.
Yes. Because they were Dutch. You know, but it's one of those things. It's like, if you want to talk to a family member, I mean, we try our very best to, you know, be discreet.
And we realize that we don't need to be all up in everyone's business. So, you know, it's nice to be able to afford that opportunity for them to get some closer. And that really helped him and his father's relationship because it had been a somewhat strained relationship towards the end of his father's life. They had just a little bit of a rocky go, but they were able to clear it up.
And so that was, that was fun. I don't know if that's not the right word. It was rewarding to see that. Well, and that's why we do this.
You know, it's not, are we looking for the big spooky thing? No, we're not. We're looking to try to help people out and help people with what's going on in their homes with the unexplained and things that are going on. And also can we help with, you know, sometimes it's many of relationships.
Oftentimes the paranormal experiences happen because an entity is trying to get the attention of the living. And sometimes many times it's family members, but it can be others also. They're just looking to be recognized. Yeah.
And that's what we always tell people. We say, you know, if you've got something in the home, at least in the ones that we have dealt with, you know, other investigators could be listening by. That's not what goes on here. But most of the investigations that we have done, that someone trying to get some attention for some help or to pass on a message or, you know, a warning.
You know, sometimes it's been, Hey, you've got a type three in your house, you know, pay attention to us, pay attention to us, get some help. And sometimes it's just bad you do going on there too. Like the toilet situation. You know, so there's, it's not always family members.
Sometimes it's, it's just, you know, entities trying to cause problems. And so, you know, we have dealt with both of those. But I would say, I'll bet. What do you think two thirds or more positive outcomes as far as who the entities are that we're dealing with?
And that doesn't mean that there aren't type three's there. But usually there's more good things going on. I think, yeah, I would even be a little bit higher, more like three fourths of the times. There's more good going on than bad.
And the good, it's not even necessarily family members. It's just, you know, someone that's like, you know, you think about it in real life, there's always that good person that's going to stop and help, that good Samaritan that sees a problem and stops and helps. And it could be something silly like, you know, they just pay for your meal in line with McDonald's or, I remember walking out of Walmart one time, I was enormously pregnant and this cute little, he was probably 80 years old, you know, had his umbrella and he walked with me to my car. So I wouldn't get wet.
I think there's always that nice person. And so, you know, I, we have run into a lot of spirits that have had no relationships to the families. They've just been a nice spirit going. We can see something you can't.
We're going to try to help you. And I think in general, most people are good. You know, unfortunately in life, it only takes a few bad ones to really ruin people's days, but most people are honest and good. Well, and I think even to you could say, you know, even someone that's being honest and good might just rub somebody the wrong way because their way of being nice and good is not your way of being nice and good.
Yeah. That's one of the things I tell myself sometimes is just pretty, they would try this breeze. I could be, I could be super intolerant. You're quiet, that makes me nervous.
I'm not going to say anything. You're still in the dog house. You're being careful from the onion still. No, I can, I can be pretty intolerant, but you're not really, you can, you can get edgy on things though.
I feel intolerant. I thought it doesn't come out. That's good. I can read a lot of it, but I think you're actually really good with people.
I have my days. Anyway, yeah. But, you know, and one of the things that we, we tell, you know, when we talk about the type ones, type two, type three, type one, system is a refresher for new people listening. Is your typical ghost, you know, grandma passes away for whatever reason.
She doesn't want you to find a cookie recipe so she hangs out in the kitchen and brings lots of pants. And then you've got your type two's and we classify type two's differently. A type two is either that jerk. In life.
You were a jerk in life when you passed away. You're still going to be a jerk. Or it's a type one that a type three or a demonic entity has threatened and coerced into doing it's dirty work. The way you are now, when you die, you're going to be the same way.
And that classification system was developed by our WISPS team. You might want to share that story again. Yeah. Okay.
So somebody. Raven. If you ask me a question, I just got to answer it. That's just how I am.
That's true. So, we were in this little lady's house and she is still our friend. By the way, she still calls everyone once in a while. She had a demonic entity in her home.
And we didn't have this classification system yet. We've been in her house for probably an hour or two. And she goes, what have you found? And we've got a demonic entity here.
Well, this little lady, she was Catholic and she had the prayer of St. Michael literally printed out and taped on every cupboard, every drawer, every door. She probably had, what, 50 of these? 50s, the number day.
And that's not an exaggeration. I am not exaggerating. You could not sneeze without seeing the prayer of St. Michael who's a patron saint of, if you're Catholic, you can correct me on this.
The patron saint of keeping devils away from you. I'm sure there's a better way to say it. But it's a protection from demonic entities. But as investigators, we need to know the basics of most religions so that we know how to deal with the people that we're dealing with.
Because not everyone's going to be the religion that you are, right? So you have to know a little bit about everything so that you can talk to people with terms that they're familiar with and deal with things and ways that they're comfortable with. So, you know, as soon as we told her a demonic entity, it didn't go well. Yeah, she kind of panicked.
Yeah, panicked is a good word. I was just like, she didn't peek out, but it was a panic, almost like a panic attack. Yeah, and so, you know, we talked her down and we told her, you know, yes, that's what you have, but you know, we can deal with it. We can get rid of it.
And as we were leaving, because I knew that, okay, I think overall, so I was like, you know, maybe we should come up with some code names so that we don't want to break our clients out. Well, and at that point, it's not even, as you said, we're going to tell them what it is. But the delivery is very important. In this case, we learned that, you know, the same, the demon, you know, that we were dealing with the demons and there's demons of all different, we almost call them ranks, you know, from very low, not very threatening, all the way up to, you know, really, really nasty demons.
And most of the ones we deal with are lower level, you know, they're not good, but they're not so powerful. You know, and that's what we have in this case, and in most cases that we run into, are kind of more of the lower level entities and, you know, in Satan's little army. But, you know, it's important for us to let people know what's going on, but we want to prepare them and help them understand what's going on and give them the information they need so that they understand and don't need to be frightened by it or panicked, because they've got an interpretation or an idea of what it might be, and they make more out of it than it is. Right.
Well, and those kinds of entities as well can project themselves to be much bigger and scarier than they are, because they love deception, which is part of who they are, you know, if they can deceive, they will deceive. Right. Well, and how many times have you had calls from people to come over for investigations, and it's, you know, something that has projected to the client as something that is really, really powerful and, you know, and then we get there, and yeah, they do have something, and it is there, but it wasn't nearly as powerful as it projected. And it's one of those things, you know, until you get there, you don't know.
And what we do know as investigators is, when people get to the point where they're going to call Ghostbusters, there's some serious issues going on. And so, you know, I had a lady call one time that my aunt suggested, you know, she was telling, she worked with my aunt and she's like, I think I've got ghosts. And she's like, oh, you've got to call me. I remember this very clear.
I was at the gym. I was just walking laps, and she called, and she stammered and stuttered for three to five minutes. And I finally had to stop her, and I said, okay, you know, I'm a ghost investigator. I deal with this all the time.
Bigby breath, just, I will believe you. You know, just tell me what's going on. And, you know, and to know what's going on, the reason we asked that is kind of twofold. One, we want to know what we're going into.
Do we have grandma in the kitchen rattling chains and trying to keep you away from a cookie recipe, or in a saint living in your crawl space? You know, you're going to deal with that differently, right? And so that's information for us. So that we can prepare?
Yeah, so that we can prepare and know what we're going into, and know, you know, okay, probably going to need to think, I always take the clas and get it, because you never know. There was one time I didn't, and I wish I hadn't someone else on the team had stuff, but now I forgot what the second reason was. Oh, but you just want to know what's going on? You know, I mean, are we listening for voices?
Are we looking for shadows? And we will always believe you. You know, we're never going to disbelieve you. And we may go and say, oh, okay, this door happens to be opening because it's not level.
You know, I watch when I stand here, it swings open. But that doesn't mean that other things that are happening could be a ghost. So there was this one family in particular, I think they're in the holiday area. She called and she says, yeah, I've got a demon in my house.
It's like seven or eight feet tall. It hovers over me. It wakes me up at night. It scares my dogs.
And as she's telling me everything that's going on, I was like, oh, holy cow, this sounds like it could be pretty nasty. And when we got there, yeah, it was doing all of those things. And, you know, again, not that we just believed her, but it was doing all of those things. But it was doing all those things.
But as we got into the investigation, you know, found where it was, started talking to it, asking questions of other spirits in the home asking questions through our spirit guides. It was a type three, but it was just like a really low level, almost zero power, but it could predict itself to be very, very large. Right. And once they get the fear, they start feeding off the fear.
And that's one of the things that they're looking at is, you know, fear and stress and those kinds of things in the homeowners. And that's, you know, that's their objective is to cause discomfort. Well, yes. And the more fear, the more anger, the more, yeah, discontent, the easier it is to wear you down.
The easier it is to break your armor, the easier it is to achieve their ultimate objective of possession. And I say the possession word in people's position. It's not like it is in the movies. You know, the movies, you know, it starts and it's all neatly wrapped up within a week or two.
And it could take years and years and years and years and years and years. Yeah. Like the Conjuring case, you see that on the movie and you think, oh, that was a couple of weeks or a month and it took years. Yeah.
So do we want to talk a little bit about some upcoming stuff besides our 200th episode in Virginia City, which is going to be so cool? Sure. What do you want to talk about? So we have got, we're going to be, we took our break for Christmas on public investigations because we would rather that you spend time and money with your family, you know, Christmas gifts and Thanksgiving dinner.
And so if you listen to us, you know, that during that time, we just suggest, you know, donating food to a food bank or, you know, doing a sub for Santa. You know, just, you know, just, you know, just, just give back to the community. But we will be starting up our, um, about every six week investigations again. So we should be having one popping up here pretty quick.
So we know where we want to go. We just haven't made the phone call yet. So we don't know the exact date, but it will be sooner than later. So just keep an eye on the website.
We should have it up and going by the next time we podcast. So we should have definite information on the podcast for you by January 25th. But if you want to find out sooner, just check our website, AdvancedParanormal.com. And we'll have it up there as soon as we.
Yeah. And if you've been on investigations with us in the past, um, through Eventbrite, where we, who host star, you know, or ticketing, um, you'll get an email through them and through us for a little bit. So we're a great venue we've been there before. It's been a couple of years since we've been there.
Pretty excited. We had tried to get into another really important, really big venue and it's not available. It's one that we've been to before, but they're currently not doing investigations here. So we hope that they will be doing investigations again shortly so that we can get back in there.
Yeah. So we're a little behind schedule because what our plan got, our plan got disrupted by the venue and not accepting investigations. Yeah. I had a little, a little rough go there between the Queen Mary and this other place where I'm having some disappointments.
But, you know, actually I'm super excited for Virginia City because I think there's going to be more there to investigate. Yeah. We've watched a lot of YouTube videos on the Washoe Club and Virginia City in general and all of the different things there. There's so much going on there.
Oh, yeah. I'm excited. Yeah. It's going to be an amazing place.
Okay. I have a junk drawer. You do. I do.
Cool. What is it? And then, um, okay, hang on. I'm all of any questions.
So as you know, again, if you've listened to us on a regular basis, you know that I'm learning Arabic. There's different dialects. They usually teach you in the United States. They usually teach you the Egyptian dialect because everyone will understand you.
Egypt is basically like the California, the Middle East. It's where all the music comes from. It's where the movies come from. So you might not understand everybody else, but they'll understand you.
So this is about an enchanted statue, which is in the Egyptian Museum. I didn't know this when we were there or I would have gone. But I didn't know it. If you're in the know or care or heard a little quips on the news, there's actually a new Egyptian Museum.
I don't know if it's open yet. If it's not, it should be open extremely soon. I kind of think it's already open. I think it's open.
And it's going to be just right across the street more or less from the pyramids. You can see the pyramids from it. I mean, you can see the pyramids from downtown Cairo too. You can see the pyramids from everywhere.
They're freaking enormous. No, but this is like, um, if you're driving down the freeway, if you look to the one side, you see the pyramids. If you look to the other side, you see this museum. It's within, you know, a half mile.
Right. So I don't know if they've moved this because I'm sure they've moved a lot of stuff. I mean, they're still going to have the Egyptian Museum that you see in Cairo, but this one's in case. It's just an additional one because they've got so much stuff.
You know, this way they can display more things. And some more tickets. Exactly. So I don't know if they have moved this little statue or not.
I don't know where it is. It's probably small enough. It probably stayed at the Cairo Museum. But it says it's up on the second floor of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
It says, do not stand in front of the statue. And if you do stand in front of the statue, do not look at him closely. And do not look at him with sarcasm because you'll be cursed. It's an enchanted statue for the priest, Dijhoor, or the Savior.
It's basically what that means. It's from the era of the Tolimes. It was discovered in 1909 in the city of Atchrib. All archaeologists refused to buy it because of the curse.
For a while, it was even placed on a walkway on the second floor by itself, away from all the other statues. The guys don't like to visit it or look at it. He's got this cute little smile that makes you want to look at him really closely. And on the statue are the tablets of the child, Horus.
And these tablets are magical tablets that priests use to treat diseases and protect against magical actions. That these tablets depict Horus as a child. He's standing on two crocodiles in two different directions that are facing two different directions. It says he stands with firmness and poise.
And in one hand, he has a deer. And the other hand he's holding a lion. It's completely covered with hieroglyphs, which are incomprehensible spells. And they use these spells.
They would put him in the tombs because they felt like they would need these spells in the afterlife. That actually wasn't in the article. That's just my knowledge from school. Right.
They're instruction manual. Exactly. They just felt like an order. They're owners manual.
Like a video game and away to them because they felt like in order to get to the afterlife, you basically had to pass all these tests and get past all these bosses. So it's their cheat sheet? Yeah. I mean, that was very, very basic.
But basically, the statue was being treated for fatal diseases, like bites of scorpion snakes. It was the black magic haka. So water was pointed over the head of the statue. Let's see.
It also used... Oh, so the water point over it was to become magic water so it could heal the sick. It's also used in the treatment of scorpion snakes, snake venom. It's also used to protect pregnant women and the newborn baby.
But everyone is... I mean, it sounds like it would do good things, but everyone's terrified. It said one of the tourists after hearing the story came to the statue one day and he had a water bottle and he threw water on his head. Then he took the collected water and poured it over his head and body.
After that, the tourists started to suffer from psoriasis. The tourists came six months later and visited the statue and vowed to forten gratitude and then he recovered from his illness. But no one visits him because they're afraid of the curse. And it looks pretty big.
It says if you do visit him, respect him and do not look at him with sarcasm because you will be cursed. There's the picture of it. I think I remember seeing that one. You didn't look at it with sarcasm.
I didn't look at any of the things up there with sarcasm. I looked at all of them with them with an amazement and wonder. It was an amazing thing. I could have spent several more hours there reading things.
You saw things, but it's like you didn't get a chance to read about everything. I think you would have to go to that museum a hundred times to even pretend to think that you've seen and read everything. Yeah, you can kind of see everything as you walk around and go, ooh, that's cool. But it doesn't sink in until you really get a chance to...
So I put a picture of this up when we put it on YouTube. It's kind of a cool statue. I thought it was a recall. No, when we went to that museum, we got there first thing in the morning.
I mean, you know, nine. I walked out of the morning. And my feet literally hurt when we were done. We were there until like three?
We would have stayed a little bit longer, but I'm like, my feet are killing me. I cannot take even when we're still. Very interesting. So for those of you that know what our podcast schedule is, we will get back on track for the 25th of January.
Our apologies. Christmas, crazy. Yep. And get some other people here too.
Hopefully. Oh, yeah. I'll be here. Good luck and look forward to it.
He gets to look forward to our 200th episode coming up. He gets to look forward to our first public event of the 2023 season. I think it's going to be a really good year. Yeah, I'm excited for it.
Good year. Thank you for being here with us today. Stay spooky. My country friends.
