In the past, security focused on gateways. Now, tactics have evolved and visibility is needed around multiple parts of the network. Because of this, many questions are arising around security – some people may even be wondering, what exactly IS security? It’s tough when you don’t already have a security practice but realize the need for it. If you do have a security practice, what holes might there be? Speakers: David Fearne Global Data Intelligence Practice Leader, Arrow David Fearne has been at Arrow for eight years, working in UKI, EMEA and global roles. He was most recently the technical director of Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business in the U.K. and Ireland. Fearne specializes in big data and all things cloud, and he was one of the founders of ArrowSphere. In 2017, he was recognized as one of the 50 most influential people in big data in the U.K. Davitt Potter Global Practice Leader, Arrow Davitt’s early real-world education began at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, where he was a field engineer, systems architect and security/infrastructure consultant. Potter joined Arrow in 2010 and quickly moved up to director of technical services. He currently leads the two of our global practice areas, assisting with global go-to-market strategies, emerging technology incubation, CTO/CISO consulting, and helping customers and their end-users with IT strategy planning and management. Jamie Wong Technical Solutions Architect, Arrow Jamie Wong started as a technical engineer at Arrow five years ago and has been a technical solutions architect for the past three years. Wong holds more than a dozen technical certifications spanning a variety of lines and products. She currently resides in Denver, CO, but was born and raised in Austin, TX, and will soon be a mother of two.
