Security of gas supply - What role for gas infrastructure?

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has led to new geopolitical and energy market realities. It required the EU to dramatically accelerate its clean energy transition while also looking for solutions to increase its energy independence.In response to these hardships, the European Commission presented the REPowerEU Plan. The plan aims to rapidly reduce dependence on Russian fossil fuels, fast forward the green transition, and increase the resilience of the EU-wide energy system.
