Scripture Summary:

In Psalm 27, David boldly declares that the Lord is his light and salvation, so he has no reason to fear. Surrounded by enemies, he remains confident in God's protection. His greatest desire is to dwell in the house of the Lord, to gaze upon His beauty, and to seek Him in His temple. David trusts that God will hide him in times of trouble and lift him high above his enemies. He cries out for God's mercy, asking not to be forsaken, and affirms his belief that he will see the goodness of the Lord in this life. He ends with a call to wait on the Lord, to be strong and take heart.
