Seek Ye First - Get Your Joy Back

Having joy includes feeling good cheer and a vibrant happiness. But joy, in its fuller, spiritual meaning of expressing God's goodness, involves more. It is a deep-rooted, inspired happiness Inspired means it doesn’t just happen. Inspire means to excite, encourage, or breathe life into. Inspire comes from the Latin word that means to inflame or to blow in to. When you inspire something, it is as if you are blowing air over a low flame to make it grow The term happiness comes from the Old Norse term happ meaning “luck” or “chance.”, “Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.” ‭‭James‬ ‭2:26‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Happiness depends on a situation Joy is a choice and it internal. The world didn’t give and the world can take it away The Joy of the Lord is my strength. So the gift or that moment may contribute to your happiness but it can’t be your source. “And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”” ‭‭Nehemiah‬ ‭8:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, James 1:2 “Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.” ‭‭James‬ ‭2:26‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Sometimes God doesn’t change your situation because he’s what he’s really trying to change is the way you look at it.
