Send us Fan MailHave you ever noticed how easily our focus shifts to material pursuits? In today's meditation on Matthew 6:33, we explore Jesus' profound invitation to a completely different way of living: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you."This simple verse challenges the core assumptions of our success-driven culture. While we often chase after more money, more security, more status, and more possessions, Jesus offers a radical reorientation of priorities. He doesn't dismiss our legitimate needs for provision—He understands we need food, clothing, and shelter. Instead, He reveals the secret to finding both provision and peace: make God your first priority, not your material concerns. When we focus primarily on accumulating things, we inevitably experience anxiety, dissatisfaction, and spiritual emptiness. But something remarkable happens when we shift our attention to knowing God, walking with Him, and living according to His ways. Our perspective transforms. We begin asking different questions: How can I honor God today? What does He want me to do with my time, money, and talents? Am I focused on what I want or who He is? This kingdom-first mindset doesn't just change our spiritual life—it reshapes everything else.Your worth isn't found in what you own or achieve but is already secure in Christ. When you seek Him first, you build a life that stands on an unshakable foundation. Today, I encourage you to release the pressure to prove yourself through possessions. Center your heart, hands, and life around God's kingdom. Not because of what He can give you, but because of who He is. Keep your eyes on the One who holds everything together, and watch Him work in ways you never imagined possible.
