"Seeking God's Approval"

08 August 2025 Daily Devotion: "Seeking God's Approval" Galatians 1:10 English Standard Version 10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. Some people try to please everyone. The problem with this desire to live a people-pleasing life is that there isn't any joy in it. It may seem, on the surface, that wanting everyone to be happy is a good thing. The problem is-as the saying goes-you can't please everyone. Thankfully, there can be joy in living a life pleasing to God because it is possible to please Him. God's expectations never change. He makes His will known through His Word. No one has to wonder if he or she is loved or accepted by Him. It doesn't take perfection to please Him; it takes only a pure heart. For everyone caught up in the need to please people, it's time to get off the crazy train and experience the joy of seeking the approval of God. That is the only approval a servant of Christ needs.
