Seerah 29: Military Activities between Battle of Badr and Uhud Part 2

Continuing with the some of the incidents after Badr, the speaker discusses the assassination of Ka‘b bin Al-Ashraf - a resentful Jew who was a zealous advocate of causing harm to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and waging war against the Muslim State. The lessons from the assassination of Ka‘b bin Al-Ashraf provide insight into the actions and planning of the Sahabah under the leadership of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), ruler and head of state.  Additionally, the incident provides tactics allowed under a covenant. The value of patrolling and showing tacit power is discussed in the example of the invasion of Buhran. By summer, the fear had set into the hearts of the disbelievers as they were concerned about sending their caravans through the established trade routes. Thus, this established the Muslims as a power to be dealt with as they essentially had an economic blockade. Insight is provided into the events leading to the Battle of Uhud that showed the preparation and planning of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and the Muslims.
