Sefer ha'Chinuch's Intro to Mikdash: Part 3 (Seir l'Azazel)

from Machshavah Lab · host Rabbi Matt Schneeweiss

Have any questions, insights, or feedback? Send me a text! This evening (2/23/22), in our aptly named "Chumash Exploration," we continued learning the Sefer ha'Chinuch's introduction to Mikdash. After reviewing what we covered last time, we learned the Sefer ha'Chinuch's explanation of Seir l'Azazel, which we compared and contrasted with the Rambam's in the Moreh ha'Nevuchim, and with the Sefer ha'Chinuch's explanation of the Avodas Yom ha'Kippurim. Although there's more left in this mitzvah, we're most likely going to move on to something else next week. I encourage you to finish it on your own!----------מקורות:ספר החינוך - פרשת תרומה, מצוה צ"הספר החינוך - פרשת אחרי מות, מצוה קפ"המשנה סנהדרין י:ארמב"ם - הקדמה לפרק חלק רמב"ם - אגרת לשמואל אבן תיבוןרמב"ם - מורה הנבוכים ג:מו----------The Torah content for the remainder of February has been sponsored by Jeremy Gelbart of Boca Raton, FL, in gratitude for Rabbi Schneeweiss's teaching.----------If you have questions, comments, or feedback, I would love to hear from you!
