Seizing the Moment: Cardi B, Taylor Townsend & Owning Your Narrative

This week on Feminine and Formidable, hosts Sara Williams and Kira Fonteneau unpack what it really means to seize the moment—whether you’re in the courtroom, on the tennis court, or navigating big life transitions. From Cardi B’s viral trial testimony to Taylor Townsend’s classy clapback at the U.S. Open, the ladies dive deep into how Black women flip adversity into power. They break down the legal missteps behind Cardi’s case, the media’s obsession with celebrity access, and the art of being a dynamic witness under pressure. Then, they connect the dots to sports and culture—exploring how Townsend, Coco Gauff, and Naomi Osaka remind us that authenticity, resilience, and self-definition are the ultimate wins. Plus, Sara gets personal about her own professional pivot, and the hosts tackle the hard truths about letting go of cases, clients, and outside opinions that don’t serve you. As always, they close with their Heels They’ll Die On—from college football Saturdays to why some people really do need hitting. Listen in for a smart, unfiltered, and relatable conversation about strength, vulnerability, and carving out space to thrive on your own terms.
