She is a Bay Area native, and currently living in Contra Costa County, although in the span of her career, has worked with and supported families in Santa Barbara, CA and East Harlem, NY, in addition to Contra Costa. The last 7 years of her career, has been focused on supporting the growth and development of staff and programs. Maya is a mother of two daughters under 5, anti-bias education is especially important to her, and she is optimistic that everyone can work together to make the world a better place for all.
