Self Healing with the Wisdom of Ayurveda with Charles Goodman (Ayurvedic Practitioner) [Episode 60]

Charles Goodman and Paul Krauss MA LPC sit down for a long-form conversation over a long-distance about Self Healing practices, ancient wisdom, and the value of considering ancient wisdom about the human form from a variety of sources. Ayurveda is the main topic of consideration and Charles Goodman draws on his experience and studies to discuss the philosophy, application, and practices of Ayurveda. Charles is an excellent teacher and discusses various aspects of how to apply the principles of Ayurvedic Medicine to the mind/body/soul of one's self as well as how the balancing efforts of Ayurveda can be utilized to peacefully navigate the multiple and tumultuous geopolitical, financial, environmental, and social upheavals of the present day. Charles Goodman has devoted his life to the study and practice of ayurveda, the world’s oldest and most complete system of healthcare. From 1987 to 1992, he studied and worked at The Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the preeminent center for ayurveda in the U.S. There he completed a range of academic programs and developed skills in a variety of ayurvedic treatments. A two-year internship, under professor and ayurvedic physician Dr. Vasant Lad, led to Mr. Goodman’s appointment as Chief Administrative Officer and clinical associate at the Institute. In this capacity, Mr. Goodman had overall responsibility for managing the Institute, teaching specialized courses and attending Dr. Lad’s clients as needed.
