In this week’s episode, we are joined by Lauren who is a mental health nurse and wellbeing coach. She has always been interested in self development from a very young age as she had a very unsettled home life and tells us all about where her self love journey began during the pandemic. It all started with skincare.Lauren takes us on a deep dive on her self love journey. She has 6 siblings and really struggled to put herself first. She stepped into a care role from a very young age for her younger siblings and feels like only now that she is starting to understand and learn how to put herself first. She tells us how being neurodivergent has always made her feel different as though she didn’t fit in but in later life she realised that she was attracting the wrong people into her space because she was afraid to be authentically herself. She lets us in on how when she started to be her authentic self that she found her people.Lauren is a mental health nurse who feels that the world of mental health has a long way to come and she feels that there is so much more to helping people than medication. Although it can really benefit people and how they function day to day, there are so many other things such as sleep, routines, self talk and self worth that have a huge part to play too.
