Twice more. Twice more. Twice more. Twice more.
Twice more. Twice more. Twice more. Twice more.
What up? What up? Welcome to Twice More on Radio Podcast. Back at you again, your boy, Devan.
And Jason. And the place to be. We are literally in a place to be. This is an ironic place to be.
We were just in the basement. Like, big take in the basement right now. We actually were just here. Just a day ago.
Just yesterday. And Jason, our two days ago. The secret location. Jason was doing his play.
Anyway, we're here and we're getting ready to talk about a few things, man. There's a, I don't know, we have a few things to talk about, but I think the biggest thing is talking about titles and what's the actual name that we were going to call this? Self-titled. Self-titled.
So, in case you guys don't know, this subject matter came up because of a recent incident that happened with a one-profit Brian Carn. In case you guys haven't heard that name, you can google him, but he's pretty well known as a prophet in the Black Church sector. In any case, a video comes out as recently from somebody who was able to, I guess, I don't know what you want to call it, splice together or whatever the case may be. Yes.
Side by side, this video. Anyway, on February 8th, in 2014, there's the psychic woman on YouTube. And she, I guess she does this thing once a year or something like that, where she makes predictions for the following year. So, in February of 2014, she makes a prediction of what's going to happen all throughout the year of 2015.
And she time dates all of her prophecies, quote unquote. What do you even call it when a psychic does it? Is that still a prophecy? No, it's a psychic reading.
A psychic reading, whatever the case may be. So, she makes this whole prediction. It's a long video. Anyway, a night watch service that same year, so near as Eve 2014 going into 2015, there's a video of Prophet Brian Khan reading off these predictions that he quote unquote heard from the Lord.
And somebody was able to find both videos and they splice together that his prophecy was verbatim word for word. What this woman had said on February 8th, except he was saying that he heard from the Lord, the Lord had told him these things. And so, obviously, there was a problem when this video came out. And it just recently came out, I think, a few days ago.
And so, if you want to know what that's about, I will play it for you right now. This is the audio. It was a short snippet of the audio from that video. So, just mind you, if you want to know what the video is actually about, just let me know via email, you can hit this up on email, or I'll just drop a link in the description.
You can click on it, see it for yourself. This is not till I try to basically, we're not trying to tear down Prophet Brian Khan, but we want to give context to what we're talking about today. It's about a subject. So, here goes the audio here.
Or even get started. I do want to tell everybody that 2015 is going to be a very, very dramatic year. And so, let's begin. This is my 2015 predictions.
And again, I do this on 2, 8, 14. Now, the first thing that I got is port contamination around the world. There will be a new strain of port disease. People will be afraid to buy pork and much less will be consumed.
The port business business will take a hit. I want to tell you, I want to stay away from port next year. Not an opinion, not so much because they're not good for you as much. I mean, you know it really ain't good for you.
But more because there's a disease going to hit the pigs. Now, the second thing I got was watch George P. Bush rise in politics in 2015. He has the charm and personality of his father, Jeb, and the intelligence of his grandfather.
But as George P. Bush's political star rises, his grandfather, George Sr. diminishes. I see George Sr.'s health taking a turn for the words and he does cross in 2015.
When the George P. Bush was going to rise to the power. I believe that Jeb was son. He said to me that the daddy, President with Singa, like I saw him, I saw his health take a turn for the words.
And ultimately, he got out of here. Patterns continue in America. Watch the East Coast. It hit a lot with these violent storms.
Power outages up and down the East Coast. Also, mid-state seen increasing storms and power outages. Huge fires in California. Please be careful.
Now, I'm in Pennsylvania here. I wasn't happy to get this prediction. But those of us on the East Coast, we're really going to get hit. But it's between Florida.
Really Florida. Watch. In fact, my guide said those of you who are in bulk over a ton, the house has come down this time. So please everybody, I keep saying, by generators and have survival kits, we're just going to continue to get extreme weather, East Coast, East Coast.
And again, a little bit in the middle states there and California. Watch your fires. Watch your fires, California. The East Coast is going to have a whole lot of storms.
Like the hurricanes are going to be crazy this year. Hurricanes are storms. I mean, so bad that up and down the East Coast, there's going to be a lot of power outages. A lot of power outages up and down the East Coast.
As I told you, if you got any family in Boca-Viton, Florida, that's rich people too. But if you got any family down there, they're telling to be very powerful. When they tell them the storm is going to hit that area, listen to them because it's going to hit. And I saw houses going down.
California is going to have a whole lot of fires this year. But again, we're in the new age of the feminine, so it actually makes sense. Again, women, we're masculine. So it's all kind of like evening out now, I guess.
Okay? And as the heterosexual male and female roles become muddy and complex, the homosexual community comes forward as the new love story. Not only will gay marriage, gay commitments, ceremonies continue on, but they will flourish. Yeah.
The feminist movement is going to come forward. The homosexual agenda is on the flourish. I mean, it's going to really, really get big. Now, I see a health scare for the Pope.
He will be fine though. The Pope is a very special man and will do much good. I feel very positive about him. However, the next Pope is not good.
I'm getting a phrase, dark Pope around him. So this is it, people. This is it as far as popes go. I mean, this man is a very is a wonderful man.
And he will bring the dignity back to the Catholic Church. He'll clean out the Catholic Church and he'll be around for a long time. And he is of service. That's why he's here.
But after him, that's it. The next one's a dark Pope. That's it. So you heard it here first.
You told me just like my word, there's going to be a health scare on the Pope. But he'll be fine. It's not going to be bad. Lots of good men told me.
I mean, it's crazy. There's a lot of people trying to say this is an evil Pope and all that stuff. But the lot told me that this Pope will be around for a minute. But the next Pope will be to really be preffa love.
Very dark. Not good. Okay. China, Japan and India are the countries to watch in 2015.
Lots of violence and revolt. China, Japan and India. Three countries you don't need to watch this year? Is China, Japan and India?
There's going to be a whole lot of ballots in them countries. China, Japan and India. There's like Kanye West. Kanye West loses it all.
He is mentally ill and others around him know it. But nobody is saying anything. And it's sort of like Michael Jackson. Everybody saw how sick he was, but did nothing to help or stop him.
I want to really pray because I had a very bad vision about Kanye West. I saw him lose his mind. I mean, I saw him like lose everything. Remember like I Michael Jackson at the end of his life, you know, start losing doing the crazy stuff, but the people around him wouldn't say nothing.
I saw him and I'm saying this, not just talk about him. We really need to pray for Kanye West. Lord Tony, him and Kim will not be, they're not going to stay married. And but really, really, really pray for Kanye West.
All right. So Jason, you've heard it. I've heard it. Excuse me.
Well, I think he snacks right now. We're snacks on snacks on snacks. So after you heard that was a that was a pretty cool video. It's really weird.
I cannot. So let me ask this question. And I'm just going to play advocate. What if he's not the one operating out of his title, but she is?
What if she actually got that from God, but in the capacity that she operates, she's not doing it correctly. So God use someone else to get that message out. But it's the way of verbatim. Well, here's my first problem.
And when you guys watch the video, here's my first problem with that. I would be more apt to believe that if he wasn't reading it from a piece of paper and I know what you're making like, Hey, you can memorize it. You can read my piece of paper and maybe the Lord gave it all to him. And he had to write it down.
So it's coming so fast. There's something about reading a piece of paper with words that match something that came out 10 months prior that makes it a little more suspect. It was a lot. It was it's like a four minute video.
It's a lot going on. So I understand I'd be a lot to memorize all that stuff. I'm more apt to believe that he copied it. That's my personal belief.
I don't know. In fact, I don't even know what the church is saying right now. But the issue comes down to this. She clearly calls herself a psychic.
And let's not even get to the parts that some of the stuff that she said was going to happen. And he said was going to happen. Never happened. Okay, we're in 2016 now.
He talks about stuff for president, but he just talked about a whole bunch of stuff. We're not going to talk about the fact that some of that stuff did not happen. Right. Right.
But let's just deal with the fact of this. She calls herself a psychic. She draws out this prediction. Some of it was wrong.
What can you do to a psychic who's wrong? Right. Nothing. It was for entertainment anyway, right?
Isn't that what the same say? They say they're wrong. Yeah. Oh, it's just entertainment.
I'm I'm an Aries. I'm a Gemini. I'm with his dad and the other. Come on, man.
We'll do a whole thing. Oh, snap. We're not going to talk about that yet. It's going to be a podcast coming.
Anyway, the issue does not come up. It's not going to be about the psychic. It's about the profit. Yes.
And I don't know. I mean, to be honest with you, anybody who puts a profit in front of their name, it does bring a different level of attention. It's something that I'm not totally used to. In the sense that I hear it primarily in the black church.
I hear you go. And that's not to blink it. It's stereotyping. I'm sure there are plenty of those who are not black who are doing this.
Not African American profits. I'm sure they're out there. But and let's see. We sure do have a lot.
And here's the thing. I'm not talking about prophecy. I've seen people who've done prophecy and I've had people prophesy over my life. And I mean verbatim what they said, it came true.
But I never called them a profit. So they call themselves a profit. And I have friends who call themselves a profit. I just don't know how to get that title.
I don't know who could give you that. Hence why this is called self-titled. Now, I will say this. And this is not to really like a down talk, the black church.
We're both young African Americans and you know, we both attend predominantly African American churches. Mine is a more of a historical church, 114 years old. And it is, you know, we just went through February, right? Black History Month, which is the longest month of the year if you go to a black church.
Because we have appeal after appeal, the presentation after presentation. And every ministry has to present something on Black History. But that's what I point. Some of the trouble.
Right. I'm going to be burning the state. But what I have realized is when it comes to a title in a church, there's no one who plays a title like us is. That's very true.
We for some reason need to be title. Everyone needs a title. Yeah. Every person.
And I don't understand. It's as if though, if it's as if though my name is not good enough. Right. Right.
It's the I mean, from what I this is what I've heard. My question just not to really catch you off, but kind of catch you off before you get into it. You're about to get into it. What credentials do you have for these titles?
I'm assuming profit would be prophecy. That's what I'm assuming outside of that. I don't know if you need to be able to preach. You know what I mean?
I don't know if it's a fluid title. You got a name? Like I don't know. It's confusing to me mainly because they pop out of nowhere.
Yeah. Well, yesterday you were Jason Jenkins today. You are the prophet formerly known as. You know, we just I was talking earlier and my mentor's father is been a problem for years.
I was talking about black church. I don't know. And it's not just profit by the way. We're not just trying to.
No, I mean, the term profit. There are plenty of there's profit, apostle. There's like there's like there's like all these, you know, titles and they're titles that come from the Bible. Yes.
Yes. That is very true. But the question is, are they coming through the Bible? Are they is that the word in flesh?
Is it actually? Are you actually embodying what that person did to call yourself that? Right. Right.
Right. Okay. Here's a profit. Not prophesying is the a profit.
Well, this is what I do now. Listen, this well, we talked about this with Nineveh. We talked about Jonah, right? Him making the decision not to.
And it was very clear with the Lord that there. But this is what I do now. The name, profit or that title profit seem to become more relevant as church marketing became more relevant. That like, like it came down to when you were being introduced at a program or so we can blame this on KGLH.
This is nice. But like church commercials are special. Right. Well, here's the thing like when a preacher gets up to preach, you know, well, especially the blood church will have somebody who introduces him yet.
If you could imagine like, we were talking about this with Jonah. Like when Jonah showed up, it wasn't an announcement that a prophet was their quote unquote. The people would recognize who he was and then just that's the capacity he came in. He wasn't coming into the past.
He wasn't coming in to preach. He was coming in to deliver words from the Lord. And that was it. And people were worried about whether it was going to be a bad word or a good word.
And that was the main issue, you know what I mean? But we were talking about how Jonah dealt with his people. And the big issue with him in Nineveh was going outside of his comfort zone with the people that he was used to prophesying to. And so like, for the most part, if you were just in the middle of the street, just going to talk to somebody in the middle of the street, like, are you a prophet then or does the prophet only matter when the church marketing presents you with that?
So like, did prophet Brian Kahn feel a need to have to give a prophecy? Because he built his name up in this church system? Or if that's the case, did he give that same prophecy to other people who weren't believers so that they would know that this is true or not? Because in the church, we don't believe you regardless?
Because your prophet, right? But on the outside, if I'm an atheist, like if you prophesied, I mean, it comes true, that's a form of evangelism. But if you prophesied I mean, it's not true and how many atheists, then you disprove my point. So does your prophecy extend out to those who don't believe?
Do you believe in your prophecy that much? Do you believe in your your title matter in that? Do you introduce yourself to an atheist as I'm prophet? So and so.
Because if you get that, you're inviting them to give criticism. You need to have some sort of like a lie to type proof, right? Prophets of Baal, you need to be able to call out a fire or something because they are coming against you. And in the church, we'll have arguments like this, but it's not going to reach you.
It's not going to get to the prophet Brian Kahn. If it does, he ain't going to call us looking for us. So, you know, that's my thing. And it's not really to call into question him, per se.
It's just the craving that we have for some reason to have a title. I would never introduce myself as Elder Jason Jenkins because that's not to me. I don't want that to be the embodiment of who I am. No, no.
I'm always going to introduce myself as Jason Jenkins. And still, you know, I've been an elder for what's about six years, six, seven years somewhere in there. And sorry, I don't know the exact date I didn't write it down. That's how you know you ain't real.
Right? But, you know, there are still people at my church who will say, Hey, Jason, how you doing? I mean, elder. And it's like, Hey, it's all good.
It's just me, you know. And I get it. They want to, you know, give reverence or what have you. And I don't have a problem with that.
But I just, you know, I never, me personally, I've never craved a title. I've never craved the attention that a title would bring. And I think that that's kind of where a lot of this conversation comes from is because oftentimes we see, we see people who look to rise out of what they would consider boredom or normalness and seek the attention because everybody wants to be known as the wise. And oftentimes they're not going about it in the right manner.
So ultimately it blows up in their face. You know, but I, you know, what are we really craving? What are we really craving? I mean, I think the Bible speaks pretty clearly and loudly in James chapter three in regards to the title of even the title of teacher that we should not crave this title.
Because you're going to have more, let me just read the script. Yes. It says this, my brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. And I think where the problem comes in is people don't get that, that, that bee portion, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.
That's huge. And the funny part about it is that when you read that one scripture, one scripture alone, you're like, oh man, that's kind of deep. But when you look at the context of that whole actual chapter, it's about the untamable tongue. Wow.
So it starts out that way to let the teacher know that it's your tongue that has the power to make people go wayward. Yeah. Yeah. And it's what we say and how we teach that can change the outlook that a person has.
Awesome. Yeah. And you know, that's, that's where the, the false prophets, you know, dwell. And they use their, it's the gift of gap.
That's what a pimp does. Oh, come on, man. Right. The whole job of a pimp is to get a woman to sell herself and bring him the proceeds.
That's crazy, man. And what does a pimp say? He says not me. You got to have the gift of gap.
You got to have game. A pimp never stops talking. Do. Okay.
So, so when you say that, right? So have you ever received a prophecy and doubted it because of the person's character? Or do you question it? If you don't know the person, do you, do you evaluate the truth of their prophecy by the way that they live?
Like, like when I think about that, like, because you're right, that, that pimp thing is real, right? And like game recognized game going, right? So like, are you able to identify that? Or do you do like scripture says and you wait to see the prophecy comes true?
And then that means that. Um, I would say this, since I am where I am in my understanding, um, I'm not so quick to jump on bandwagon. Yeah. When people are rising.
Yeah. I'm not so quick to say, yes, he's the next leader. I'm following him. I'm not so quick to do that.
I am more reserved and watching and paying attention. Um, yeah, we're about to do this right now. So check this out. Um, not that long ago, there was a, there was a video that came out that most of the Christian community praised, like 98% of it.
Um, making good, right? And her husband, her husband's name is Oh, Devon Franklin. Oh man. Oh, right.
Okay. Pastor Devon. He doesn't use pastor. He doesn't use pastor.
Yeah, he's not gonna pass her because that's been put on him on him. That's what people think. He doesn't even have a tease now. Yeah.
Yeah. Okay. Thank you. I'm glad you said that because there's nothing about him that says pastor to me.
Okay. There's nothing about him that says pastor to me. Got you. What I know of him is just simply that he's a young man that likes to share.
That's true. I mean, he definitely has leadership abilities. Yeah. Right.
Um, now what happened was they were on the book tour. Um, are you talking about the video? Weird. They're on the book tour about their book about celibacy, which is great.
Celibacy is necessary. We can jump into all everybody's business. But let me just look at this. Okay.
So there's a woman. We're gonna get a sec. I would imagine there's a woman just based on her voice because you never see her. Yeah, it was definitely one.
And she calls into question. First of all, she took two moments to get to the point. I had with those moments when I just wanted to wish she was in front of me. She is so beautiful.
You are so beautiful. Yeah. Beautiful. You knew what rebuke was coming.
Yeah. And all that setup you knew. Okay. She's about to come with a review.
So she finally does and she says, so you're gonna cover up, right? You're gonna cover up. Uh-uh. Uh-uh.
Nope. Nope. Uh-uh. Nope.
Uh-uh. Now that's the- Nope. Uh-uh. Pastor's reaction.
Uh-uh. Now, what my issue came in was the man said something that you should never, ever say. What is that? If it doesn't come from the words.
He said she's gonna dress the way she been dressing in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. And I'm thinking to myself, whoa, wait a minute. No, no, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no. No, no. No, no, no, no. No, no.
No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no. Wait a minute. No.
I'm gonna put that on God. No. The way that she dresses. Now, I get it.
I understand the context was there was a picture that she took of herself to send to her husband and the phones got hacked and it ended up in the media. No, no, wait. Besides that picture, I don't even care about that picture. Oh, I'd say it must be real.
She's been a sex symbol. That's what it's about. No, here was interesting. Every single movie.
She's never played a part other than Friday, the original. When she came up as a little girl to the ice cream truck. My cousin skied her or whatever it is. Yeah.
Right. She was on my life in kids, but then she got caught up. But she was still kind of- What's got caught? Yeah, she got caught up in the show.
So, like, her whole persona has always been eye candy. Yeah, I mean, she's uh- She's not gonna win any Oscars. You get what I'm saying? I know she can.
She can. She can. Okay, let me tell you. But do a movie where it's about your acting ability and not your beauty.
Well, yeah. That's what we got. It's really weird because then it's gonna work. Yes, I know.
That's what I was like. We're gonna do this now. We're gonna do that. This is what I will say.
Wow. I feel uncomfortable. No, no, no, no. This is what I will say.
Um, um- And it's not really a knock on her so much as it is. It was about his response. It was about his response. It was about his response.
And it's not just his response. The church community's response. Oh, yes. He shut her down.
I'm like, wait a minute. People. Did you hear what he just said? The underlying thing that I heard from most leaders was, but the question was never responded to.
The actual underlying foundation of even the rebuke, the the the the liberation amongst truth was completely downcast and then throw it to the side. And so like, yeah, the issue is, is like, how do you teach modesty? And if you get a chance, Jackie Hill and her husband did a really dope video on their on her Facebook page, they down on Periscope and I think she uploaded to Facebook. Anyway, the idea behind it was, you know, what Preston said, that was so dope.
Preston said the way he was said responded was, we're gonna search in our hearts through the scriptures in our own time. He said, but the way you came at us did not sound like you were coming at us in love. He goes, so I would ask you to go check your heart about how you just did this because we're this is something public that you could have spoken to us about in private. Perfect.
Right. That's exactly how I thought was that was this the time? No, but your response should have been, you know what? Let's talk about this in private and we'll have a conversation because we just got through talking about how it's really it gets a little frustrating when the Christian community seems to be aiming at exposure exposing people in the community.
Yeah. Because that's not what we're supposed to do. Yeah, that's not good. Look, when you go to someone for correction, you correct them with love and you correct them privately.
Period. You don't have to do it out in front of everybody. Like, ma'am, you didn't have to try to make your name for yourself by rebuking her while she's on stage in front of me. Right.
Like, right wasn't the time for that. And I understand that. However, I also believe that he should have had a different reaction because not only did he shut her down, he also got up and said, you must have forgotten where I'm from. I'm from Oakland was about to come out and then he stands up and gives three high-fives to the guy who's on the stage.
That's right. Okay. Is that who he is? Yeah, as I went to church.
That's a good read friends. That's nothing wrong with being great friends, but what are you celebrating at that moment? Right. The Oakland's about to come out of Oakland.
I lost. Right. Because what's your identity? Exactly.
Exactly. And that's and but that's that goes back to it because I guess the biggest issue with that was that most people hold Duvam Franklin in a pastoral sense, right? Well, he's leading. And he is.
I mean, he's he's definitely forcing his industry and he's great. He's seven-day Adventist holds to that. He's seven-day Adventist holds to it to Valley. That's why he's able to speak on Sundays because he goes to his church on Saturdays and he goes on Sundays.
And he's amazing at it. The issue is that he has a place that title, but once again, let's just go with this though. Right. So the reason why most people believe that he is a pastor is because when they see a man in leadership who has a microphone, most of those men have self-appointed themselves as pastors or a prophet or an evangelist or an apostle or whatever.
Right. And so we're just we're pre-programmed that when we see a black man with a microphone in a church talking, that's he must be a pastor. Right. And so now everything that we talk about now, like if I'm in that role and I'm talking, right, then that means they're not hearing me as a speaker, they're hearing me as a pastor.
Right. And this is not his responsibility, but let's just talk about like managing expectations as Christians. There you go. This man's expectation.
So if we're going back to the prophet, calling thing, the reason why everybody was up in the session at Uproar was because not only this is due to call himself prophet, but he's been operating as a prophet and doing all these things, right? He's been saying stuff, calling people out and doing all this stuff, right? Okay. Here's the issue.
The issue is now that he's fallen. Now he want to start checking credentials, right? So like now the fact that there's like a video out there questions his prophecy. Now you want to check credentials, but how we check credentials when he first started calling himself prophet, right?
And putting up against the scriptures and going, okay, so tell me how this came to be. How you became the prophet because we're not saying that you're not, but like help us understand what the standard is so that when you're not hearing somebody else's prophet, we have something to juxtapose that with because now your prophecy seems to be completely discredited by the stuff you just did on this video back in 2014. So if that's the case and you're still a prophet and prophets can do false prophecy, right? The only two, the two be some revelation were the Antichrist and the false prophets.
So in my head, I'm going, okay, if that's the case, then what's the title that everybody is going to want to have prophet, pastor. So you're going to try to be Christ like, or you're going to try to be a prophet and to try without God, make you the opposite, exactly, to be honest with you, you know what's happened? And who looks bad? Who gets the bad rap?
The church. The church. We become the joke. Exactly.
We become the joke. And we become the joke as we continue to expose each other in public eye and not have that conversation behind closed doors. And to my knowledge, he has not responded to this yet. So I don't know what the response is.
I know everybody's up and alms about it. And my wife and I, the reason I found out about it was because I was on Facebook and Lexi Allen, I think her name is, Lexi something, had this long rant on Facebook. And I clicked on it. I was like, what are you talking about?
When I tell you this woman to God was going in, she was in the anywhere. She was, I mean, she was going in. This is on periscope. She's responding to people.
She's going off. She's angry. And I was like, wow, as the church to the unbeliever, we all look very church-like. We all look very Christ-like, church-like, loving-like.
I said, wow, no wonder so many people are turning to spiritualism. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Because that search for a title is less Christianity, more church-y-anity. Yeah. And what's happening, especially for us, for Black folks, is we're more into church than we are into Christ. Yes.
And because we're so far into church, that's where the person with the biggest title gets the most respect. Yeah. So I've got to build my title up. Yep.
It's like, you remember those old mind-space games back in the day? Yes. Like when you had to be like in the mob? Yep.
And you had to like go out and you had to fight people, but you could only fight somebody who had lesser value than you. So that you get more points to buy more stuff. Right. It's essentially that's what they do from a title perspective.
Yeah. I come in just as a nobody. Next week, I'm going to be deacon. Yeah.
The week after that, I'm moving on to a puzzle. Yeah. And I'm just going to keep moving up that chain. Dude, I'm trying to say, we've been having this discussion.
Yeah. Full-time ministry is not what you think it is. I know. Like if you're really doing the work of the Lord, I've got phone calls tonight.
It's 1134. I'm getting phone calls from people who are in need, right? Like you don't have a nine to five. If you're doing full-time ministry, especially as a pastor, like you're literally a servant leader.
Like, like I don't think people understand that like you're in for that title. This is what I tell people who are aspiring. When people come to me and they say, Hey, I've been called to preach. I say, listen, I said, there's a cost that comes with that microphone.
And it comes with a casket. I said, there's no way you're going to be able to keep your life and keep that mic. If you turn all your life over to the Lord and allow him to do that, or don't pick it up. Don't try to live two separate sides.
You can't do it. You're going to be exposed. You're going to fall out. And it's like, it's like, you see infidelity at an all-time high amongst pastors in the church.
Like, it's, I'm watching pastors divorce their wives and getting married right after that. And I'm going, somebody pastors with ex-wives. But that's why, and I'm going, okay, I get it. But I said, like, yo, like as a pastor, we're not, we're not the norm, right?
But we're two sides. We get judge harder, but because we're pastors, we have to forfeit the right to be the exception. So we have to do like Paul says, and we have to tell people to follow us and we follow Christ, right? And we have to serve at that level, right?
But we can't afford to fall. We can't afford to fall. So you can approach me however you want to. Right.
I cannot react like you would. I can't. I can't react like you would. It doesn't make me better.
It doesn't make me judge harder. It's two different things. Like I'm not living in privilege on this earthly side. Like I'm laying my life down like, it's not privilege to do it.
And it's not that I don't want to respond like you do. I want to respond like you do. You know what I'm saying? Like, it was as simple as this, trying to explain this to the college students hard, but like, I was telling them about why certain things I can't retweet.
I'm like, if it has a curse word in it, whether I agree with the statement or not, I said, if your, if your Twitter handle has a curse word, I can't retweet it. I said, because my level of influence is what I'm being judged on that. Like, how do I manage my influence? I personally don't care if you're cussing it.
That'll happen to do with our relationship. But my relationship with the flock, like I can't share dirty jokes. I can't. I can't share dirty memes if it has one cuss word.
As a youth pastor, if it has one cuss word, I can't. What representation is that to the teens? To the youth that I am administering to. And here's the truth, because when you hear that, it'll make it sound right.
Not that I want to. I don't want to make it seem like, like, all they get to do this and I don't get to do that. It's not that. And don't get me wrong, people tag me in things all the time.
And a lot of times when people tag me in things, it'll never hit my timeline, because I make sure that I'm checking it for authenticity. As a matter of fact, I was tagged in that very video that we're talking about tonight. Actually, by my wife, she actually tagged me in that video. I love the way he shut her down.
I know my husband would do the same and just that and other. Yeah, I would in a way. In a Biblical way. But I didn't share it because I was not in agreement with it.
While everybody else was in agreement, my mom even liked the thing. And I'm like, I'm going to agree with defending your wife, but I'm not at the expense of the gospel. Yeah, not at the expense of the gospel. And this goes back to what we were talking about earlier between Christianity and black.
I'm in the statement I'm Sunday. The statement that I asked, the question that I asked was, I'm using as an example in this sense. I'm not going to get into it, but the question I asked was, next show, next show, I said, do you have the making choice? Either you're going to be Christian before you're black or black before you're Christian.
And the number one response I get is why can't you be both? And I'm like, that's cool. But at some point, those two are going to come into conflict, and which is the default primary? So, in my heart, if I go, okay, what I do in this flesh determines what happens to my spirit in the eternal realm.
So how I'm living here, how I'm being judged eternally on what I do temporarily. So that means that everything that I have that's temporary has an effect on how I manage that, has an effect on what happens to me eternally. So if I'm going, my blackness is temporary, period, no matter how much I want to just like, oh, this skin is going to fall apart. It is, it's going to come off.
I'm going to be skin and bones after a while. I'm sorry, not me, but my body will, right? So when that's gone, my soul is still there. My Christianity is about my, it's about here.
It's about the internal. So if that's the case, when something goes crazy, I have to make sure I manage which one do I care about the most? Do I really care, right? If I want to respond, and I get it like, who's playing all that stuff you want to respond?
Or is the Von Franklin did you want to respond? That's your wife, but not the sake of your eternal responsibilities. If there are souls who are make who are on the fence about Christianity, you didn't just make them choose you. No, what you did was you created a great area where it's okay to be Oakland, okay to be Christian.
So that's why he has so many people who are coming into the church as Christians that are unconverted, which is oxymoron because they're not Christians, because they come in and they go, I'm going to continue this lifestyle, but because I pray to prayer. That's not the way scripture is interpreted. You know what I mean? Unconverted.
When Paul says I was crucified with Christ, the reason why he said that was he has every right to be who he was, right? He lays that down for the sake of the cross. Like this is, I'm crucified with Christ. Never let's not either, but Christ that lives in me.
If that is the case and Christ lives in you, it's Christ from Oakland, right? It's Christ from Compton. It's Christ from Pacific Talisades, right? Is he from a place of privilege?
Is he from the hood? He said, I become all things to all men. What she means now, that when I'm standing in that crowd, if you're not from Oakland, and I say you almost made me go back to Oakland, what I've done is create a divide. Here's the funny thing about the use of that scripture.
When people talk about, when Paul said I became all things, well, what does he mean when he says I became all things to all men? What does that mean? Does that mean? Because everyone uses that to say, well, that's why I still drink.
That's why I still smoke. That's why I still cheat on my wife. That's why I still got this going on and that going on and that going on. Well, I'm becoming all things to all, nope, nope, nope.
This was in ministry people. This was in ministry. He became relational with the people so that he could relate and they could understand and receive what he was given to them, the word got. So it's funny how people use scripture to justify acts.
